With a desire to share the gospel in words and deeds, a group of 40 adults, teenagers and children from eight different Swedish churches set off for Ukraine during the Easter holidays.  Working alongside OM Ukraine and local churches the teams worked at orphanages and Rehab centres and through sport in the city of Rivne.

Team members cleared up rubbish in the backyard of one of the Rehab centres while others painted walls in another part of the building. Some went to an orphanage, overcoming language and cultural barriers through different games and activities. Another group went to a Rehab centre for men with alcohol problems. After working practically during the morning they shared a simple lunch together. A third team took the old local trolley bus from the 60s through the town to meet a teenagers at a sports ground. The teams took advantage of different opportunities to share the Gospel through drama and personal contact.

A TV producer expressed his gratitude that the team had come all the way from Sweden. He said: “By the way you serve and meet the very least you provide an important example”.

ENVIADOS A SERVIR
