Bus4Life in Slovakia: Walking into new life

OM Czech Republic is working in partnership with the Bus4Life and the
Slovak church in Slovakia. Earlier this month a team of Finish and
Hungarians joined Pavel Zoul (field leader of OM Czech Republic), Alex
(a Christian publisher in Slovakia) and Petri (the Bus4Life driver) on a
two week mission across Slovakia. This is one of the exciting stories
from their time there.

K. is a 28-year-old young man who gave his life to the Lord during the 4
days of Bus4Life ministry in Dunajska Streda. Valentine, the pastor of
the church that invited Bus4Life to Dunajska Streda says about K.: ”When
I first saw him in the bus, I immediately felt, that he was honestly
seeking after the truth, after God. Unlike those, who visited the bus
out of mare curiosity, he seemed to be looking for something specific.”
K. was looking for a daily devotional book, and after Valentine helped
him to find one, he asked K., if he had any problems to pray for. The
young man shared about the very serious health problem he had, and was
willing to receive prayer from Valentine.

He came back the following day, and had a longer conversation with the
pastor. He shared, that he often “hears voices in his mind” telling him,
how bad he is. Valentine explained him that this can be either from the
Enemy, or the convicting work of Holy Spirit. K. felt an assurance that
it was from the Holy Spirit. After this, he was very open to here the
Gospel and agreed to receive more prayer. At the end, he even prayed
together with Valentine, and asked Jesus to forgive his sins, and to be
his Lord and Savior. He came back again in less then an hour, this time
with a smile on his face, that we had not seen before. He brought with
himself a women, one of his cousins, so she can hear the Gospel too!

We keep praying for K. that he, as a newborn Christian will keep growing
in his faith and personal relationship with the Lord. He also needs
prayer for his health and specifically asked prayer for his personal
life – his big desire is, that God would give him a wife. We are also
praying for salvation for his cousin, who also heard the Gospel (she is
from a religious Catholic background).
