transforming lives and communities

No one budged at first, but then!

OM International
Steve, a Global Challenge Team Leader from USA, shares about his experience during an outreach:

“Driving into the village, I could see this was going to be a different ministry experience for us. The people stared as we arrived at the town square for set up – was it curiosity on their faces, or something more sinister? Either way, I began to feel nervous and prayed silently to myself. I was supposed to share about God's love with the people, and this was not a good beginning for my nerves!

“Under the watchful eyes of the gathered crowd, we began with the programme. Kids swarmed from everywhere, keeping our face painters very busy! After a testimony and another drama, I went to the microphone to share about God's love – something I had never done before a crowd as large and intimidating as this one! After I had shared the Gospel, I asked the crowd if anyone wanted to know Christ more, but nobody moved. Then after about five seconds of hesitation, a large group came forward, desiring prayer, to know more about Christ and to start a journey with Him!”

Praise God for the response to God’s Word during the outreach! Pray for the preparation and event of short-term mission trips happening within OM around the world.
