The Lady who Repaid Debts for Her Son

A middle-age lady told us that she read the Bible before. We were surprised, “why did you become who are you now?” She turned to look seriously and invited us into her room. She has come to Christ in mainland China, but since her son owed some debts, she came to Macau to try her luck in the casino. She lost all her money and became a sex worker. Losing faith in God and having no way out, tears ran down her cheek. We encouraged her and prayed for her. Praise the Lord – she repented and decided to leave Macau for home.

The Lady who Knitted for Her Husband

She is around her mid-twenties and was busy knitting a sweater for her husband. “Does he know what kind of job you are doing here in Macau?” I asked. “I surely would not let him know,” she answered. When I asked about her feeling, she did not reply. She looked down and continued knitting what was in her hands.

The lady who thought that happiness comes with wealth

Heavy make-up did not hide her childishness. She just reached 18. She told me her grandmother is a Christian. She went to church when she was young. When I asked what her life is like, her eyes filled with tears. Without hesitation, she answered, “I am not happy now, but I will be when I earn enough money after few years.”

Pray that these ladies may soon taste the joy of salvation and receive the real blessing.
