Taking it to the streets - Ecuador

OM Ecuador is partnering with its prayer team to provide meals and conversation to people living on the streets of Guayaquil. The team ministers mostly to men, nearly all of whom moved to the city seeking employment. Most of the men work in a nearby goods market, and nearly all of the men have alcohol or drug problems. 

Jorge Limenzo is one such man. He left his family behind in another city to seek employment in Guayaquil. He works in the market, spends his nights in the streets and sends his money back to his family. His routine has not changed much in the last 12 years. 

When asked if he wanted prayer for anything specific, he simply asked the team to pray for his family. He has two children and a wife; they live two hours from the city. He only occasionally has the opportunity to return home on weekends to visit them. Please keep Jorge in your prayers, for his safety and for provision for his family.

El equipo ministra mayormente a hombres que se mudaron a la ciudad en busca de trabajo. La mayoría de ellos trabaja en un mercado cercano y casi todos tienen problemas con alcohol o drogas.

Jorge Limenzo es uno de esos hombres. Él dejó a su familia en otra ciudad para buscar empleo en Guayaquil. Trabaja en el mercado y pasa la noche en las calles para poder enviar el dinero a su familia. Su rutina no ha cambiado mucho en los últimos 12 años.

Cuando se le preguntó si tenía un motivo especial de oración, pidió al equipo que se ore por su familia. Tiene esposa y dos hijos, y viven a dos horas de la ciudad. Raramente tiene la oportunidad de volver a casa por un fin de semana. Por favor ora por Jorge, por su seguridad y la provisión para su familia.
