Christmas blessings - Pakistan

Christmas 2009 was a real blessing for both believers and seekers from the majority religion who participated in the team's Christmas programmes. Through ten programmes in seven cities, 113 men, women and children heard the entire Nativity Story, and received gifts the team distributed. Those who came were mainly from the correspondence school and contacts from the women's ministry. 

A nine-year-old girl came to one of the programmes with her aunt. Instead of opening her gift as soon as she received it, she took it home with her. She told the Nativity Story to friends and neighbours, performing it as she had seen it, and then, at the end, opened her gift and shared it with everyone. What an amazing impact this simple story had! 

Local women are often busy during the day with household chores. The opportunity that these programmes gave them to come out with their husbands and other family members allowed them to hear the true meaning of Christmas in a friendly, accepting environment. It was a topic of family conversation when returning home for days afterward!

BENDICIÓN DE NAVIDAD – Pakistán

La Navidad de 2009 fue un tiempo de verdadera bendición tanto para creyentes como para los que tienen la religión mayoritaria que están buscando la verdad. Ellos participaron de un programa de Navidad organizado por el equipo de OM. En total se presentaron diez programas en siete ciudades, donde 113 hombres, mujeres y niños oyeron la historia completa de la Navidad. También se repartieron regalos. Casi todos los que asistieron son contactos de la escuela por correspondencia y del ministerio de mujeres.

Una niña de nueve años vino a uno de los programas con su tía. En vez de abrir su regalo inmediatamente, se lo llevó a casa. Le contó la Historia de Navidad a sus amigos y vecinos, representándola como la había visto. Al finalizar, ella abrió su regalo y lo compartió con todos. ¡Qué impacto tuvo esta simple historia!

Las mujeres a menudo están muy ocupadas durante el día con sus quehaceres. La oportunidad que estos programas les dio de venir con sus esposos y familias permitió que todos escucharan el verdadero significado de la Navidad en un ambiente amigable. ¡Fue el tema de conversación familiar cuando regresaron a casa y en los siguientes días!
