A new heart

Kawan was a diligent student of the Koran and the Hadith. When a Kurdish friend shared the gospel with him he started to study the Bible. After a while he was so confused, he did not want to continue to read either book any longer. One night, he prayed:” Oh God what is the right way?” Then Kawan heard a voice calling his name: “I am Jesus the one you are seeking.” Kawan asked: What do I need to do? Jesus answered: I want to give you a new heart, but first you must die. Kawan felt some strange sensation in his body and was afraid. The Lord said. Why are you afraid? Just trust me!

Starting from his feet moving up to his head he slowly lost the feeling in his body. He woke up his wife and told her that he must die. She was in shock and wanted to call the neighbours, but Kawan assured her that the Lord is with him. After a while he came back to life and felt like a new man. His wife was very troubled and told her relatives, who insisted that he see a psychiatrist. This doctor gave him medicine. Through reading God’s Word, Jesus told Kawan to trust in him.

Please pray for OM’s ministry to the Kurds. God is revealing himself in special ways to many Kurds. Please pray for the new believers to be discipled, overcome fear from persecution and fellowships to grow. Please pray for more local workers for the ministry.
 

UN NUEVO CORAZÓN – Medio Oriente

Kawa era un diligente estudiante del Corán y el Hadish. Cuando un amigo kurdo compartió el evangelio con él, comenzó a estudiar la Biblia. Después de un tiempo estaba tan confundido que no quiso leer más ninguno de los libros. Una noche él oró: “Oh Dios, ¿cuál es el camino correcto?” Entonces Kawan oyó una voz que decía: “Yo soy Jesús, a quien tú estás buscando”. Kawan preguntó: “¿Qué debo hacer?” Jesús respondió: “Te quiero dar un nuevo corazón, pero primero debes morir. Kawan sintió una sensación extraña en su cuerpo y tuvo miedo. El Señor le dijo: “¿Por qué tienes miedo? ¡Sólo confía en mí!

Lentamente dejó de sentir su propio cuerpo, comenzando desde sus pies hasta su cabeza. Despertó a su esposa y le dijo que él debía morir. Ella se asustó y quiso llamar a los vecinos, pero Kawan le explico que el Señor estaba con él. Luego de un momento volvió a la vida y se sintió un hombre nuevo. Su esposa estaba tan confundida que les contó a sus parientes, quienes insistieron para que vea a un medico. El doctor le dio una medicina. Leyendo la Palabra de Dios, Jesús le dijo a Kawan que confiara en él.

Por favor ora por el ministerio de OM entre los kurdos. Dios se les está revelando en maneras muy especiales. Por favor ora por los nuevos creyentes, para que sean discipulados y venzan los miedos de la persecución creciendo en el compañerismo unos con otros. Ora también por más obreros locales que se unan al ministerio.
