If God makes us wait, there is a reason
Kasia returned from the Doulos last August, and after spending time with family and friends, started looking for a job in Warsaw as there was no suitable job offer for her at her home church.“During one of the interviews,” Kasia remembers, “I had this strange feeling. The atmosphere was great and the language tests went well. But due to the two years on the Doulos, my CV did not look good, and so you can imagine my surprise when, a week later, I was invited for another interview by the same company - this time with the manager.” Although the interview had gone well, the manager was curious to know more about the Doulos and so spent the next hour finding out more about OM and the Ships Ministry. “I told them everything,” Kasia exclaimed, “without even having to try!”
After the interview, Kasia was told that although there were many suitable candidates, it was her two years on Doulos that had made the difference - Kasia got the job!
Tears ran down Kasia’s face as she left the office. It was not because she had got the job, but because of the way God had guided her - how awesome He is! Now Kasia is able to share her faith with others in her workplace, through practical deeds and prayer, passing on what she learnt on the Doulos, despite her lack of professional experience! If God makes us wait, He always has a reason and purpose.
