The world next door

OM Canada is entering their seventh year to host outreaches in Toronto. This year, with the theme “building bridges into our community and into the nations”, OM will partner with three local churches, each with a unique strategy to share God’s love.

Fifty-two participants—ages 16 to 71—from Canada, UK, Trinidad, USA and South Africa, will join one of the three churches in practical service and ministry. One team will visit a mosque, Hindu and Buddhist temples, and will receive training in sharing their faith. The second team will focus on a South East Asian community through a kids camp called, “Amazing Races”, and partner with another organization to grass seed people’s lawns. During the camp, the parents will be invited for a barbeque to listen and watch a presentation by their children. The third team will help prepare and promote a soccer camp taking place after the outreach, along with sharing their faith with families in downtown Toronto.

“This is going to be one of the most exciting outreaches,” says Raymond Robyn, OM Canada Associate Director. “We believe that the Lord will add to those that follow Him, and that our relationships with these churches will be strengthened.” Please pray that God will use these teams and open doors for them to connect with families. Pray that the teams will experience God’s daily strength as they relate and share their life story.
 

EL MUNDO AL LADO DE CASA - Canadá
OM Canadá organiza por séptimo año un evento de alcance en Toronto. Este año, con el lema “construyendo puentes hacia nuestra comunidad y hacia las naciones”, OM trabajará en conjunto con tres iglesias amigas, cada una de ellas lo hará con una estrategia única para compartir el amor de Dios.

Cincuenta y dos participantes con edades entre los 16 y los 71 años, llegarán desde Canadá, Trinidad, EE.UU., y Sudáfrica, y se unirán a una de las tres iglesias para servir en forma práctica. Un equipo visitará una mezquita, así como templos hindúes y budistas, y recibirán entrenamiento de cómo compartir su fe. El segundo equipo se enfocará en una comunidad del Sudeste de Asia, con la que compartirán un campamento infantil llamado: “La Asombrosa Carrera”, y se trabajaran con otra organización para sembrar césped en los jardines. Durante el campamento, los padres serán invitados a un asado (barbacoa) para escuchar y ver una presentación realizada por sus hijos. El tercer equipo ayudará a preparar y promover un campamento de fútbol que se realizará luego de este programa, esto lo harán mientras comparten su fe con familias en Toronto.

“Este será uno de los mejores programas de alcance”, dijo Raymond Robyn, Director Asociado de OM Canadá. “Creemos que el Señor agregará a los que serán salvos y que nuestras relaciones con estas iglesias serán fortalecidas.” Por favor ora para que Dios utilice estos equipos y abra puertas para ellos, a fin de conectarse con diferentes familias. Ora para que los equipos experimenten la fortaleza diaria de Dios cuando ellos se relacionen y compartan la historia de sus vidas.
