United States :: Forty-four of the climbers reached Gillman’s Point (18,647 feet)—28 of them reached Uhuru Peak, the summit, at 19,336 feet. A group of 47 women have climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise awareness of global injustices against women and children.

Thiscoincided with Kieler Woche, or week of Kiel, a huge sailing regatta,which is Europes largest festival. The group worked with OM NorthGermany and with local Christians in partnership with the EvangelicalAlliance of Kiel.
