Head of Communications (Ireland)

We are looking for someone to join our team to take on the crucial role of Head of Communications. Help to transform lives and communities by communicating what God is doing in Ireland and around the world. Use your communication gifts to build relationships and inspire people to get involved in God's work.


As soon as possible

1-2 years (full time)

As Head of Communications, you will develop a strategy to communicate what God is doing in Ireland, as well as inspiring Irish Christians to get involved in world missions through newsletters, emails, websites, blogs and other publicity materials.
Based with the dynamic OM Ireland team in the heart of Ireland, the new Head of Communications will have the opportunity to develop and shape this vital role.

Requirements:

  • Great people skills
  • Good written English and proven skills in communications
  • A willingness to learn and serve

•A heart for Ireland and for world missions

Main tasks are dependent on the individual person's skills and gifting but may include:

  • Developing a communications strategy for OM Ireland
  • Overseeing all communications, PR and marketing (delegating tasks to others as necessary or recruiting new team members/ volunteers)
  • Website maintenance using Joomla
  • Writing blogs and email updates
  • Writing/ editing OM Ireland's quarterly newsletter "Pipeline"
  • Developing a media strategy
  • Marketing OM Ireland's events and programmes
  • Donor reporting
  • Multi-media presentations

You will receive on-going training and support to develop your skills and gifts in communications.

All jobs/opportunities on this site are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.
