English teachers needed in the Balkans!  We have opportunities to teach English, develop friendships and share Jesus  with young people that are motivated to learn.

Workers are needed for Social/Mercy Projects including work with the poor, street children, women, and village communities.

Work in partnership with a local church to begin or strengthen their youth ministry. Most churches have a few youth, but no one to work with them.

You are part of our "Integration Project Traun" (IPT) which is based in the city of Traun (next to Linz). The team is working alongside a local church which has chosen to reach out mainly to immigrant children and their families. Our day-center "i-point" is our ministry base and from there many other vital activities are carried out.

Our ministry, based near Vienna, Austria, is involved in bringing humanitarian aid to Bosnia and to the Roma/gypsy people in Slovakia and Hungary.
We are looking for someone to take over our Relief and Development Department
This person will oversee and manage all of the humanitarian aid that comes in, organize it for shipments to Bosnia, Slovakia and Hungary.
Resource raising for projects (including funds, materials and special equipment).
Additional responsibilities will include keeping the warehouse organized, as well as being involved in the transports. This ministry has a lot of potential for someone with a vision to develop it further.

You can use your communications skills to share what God is doing in EurAsia and voice the needs of forgotten peoples you probably have never heard of.
This position involves providing articles for our team publications and co-ordinating our correspondence, data base management (Petra) and other similar responsibilities. There will be opportunities for you to travel to countries and people groups in our ministry area.

1. Raising money for media projects.
2. Communicating with other missions and publishers regarding literature and multi-media available to publish.
3. Negotiating copyright contracts with publishers and printing prices with printers.

You coordinate and manage the area of  public relations within OM Austria. If you have a flair for coordination, a passion to mobilize the Austrian church, ideas to develop PR materials and a talent to train staff in communication and PR, then you are the person we need right now!

You may be working on the first Christian book in their language, many of our ministry countries only have half a dozen Christian books total. Our Media department publishes material and our main focus is Eurasia, especially former communist countries.

You work in a team, communicate with the translators and editors layout the book or enter corrections in letters you have never seen before to prepare the document for press.

As personnel manager "Short-term Mission", you manage and administrate all enquiries of interested participants and supervise processes and advise people before, during and after their mission experience.

Into this region, OM Germany’s newest outreach team wants to demonstrate and share God’s desire to bring hope and a future through Jesus Christ.  The team plans to run an evangelistic youth café, to build relationships and share their lives with young people in the East German city of Halle an der Saale.  All team members will receive practical training and discipleship.

This ministry is mostly with children and youth. Sports that are popular in Greece are basketball, football (soccer) and volleyball, although there is also some interest in other sports. It has even been possible to do training in sports that are not normally played here, such as baseball.

Team members in this ministry will also be expected to learn greek and have some involvement in other ministries of the local greek church.

University and college students are often highly motivated to learn new skills such as computing, music and foreign languages. Team members could serve the student community and build relationships.

American Football is a rapidly growing sport in Hungary. Over the last 7 years 36 teams have been started.  There is a desperate need for coaches who can help. The Hungarian American Football Federation has asked OM Hungary Sports Ministry to find coaches. This is an excellent opportunity to share  your faith and life with future leaders of Hungary. Coach in a local club and minister with a local church planter to build meaningful relationships through this growing sport.
Coaching experience is helpful with this position.

Baseball is a growing sport in Hungary but still in the development stages. Every club would love to have an experienced player playing for them and many church planters are interested in using sports ministry. You will play on the local men's fast pitch baseball team and help them  with their youth baseball program. Your ministry will be in partnership with a local church planter to build meaningful relationships through baseball.
No coaching experience is required with this position.
You will also have the opportunity to help camps and training of Hungarian National team players.
You will have a mentor/coach to help  you learn sports ministry, language and  culture.

Hungary has many opportunities to be involved in church planting. All church planting within OM Hungary takes place under the leadership of a local Hungarian church and working along side a Hungarian church planter.

Use evangelism of all kinds and discipleship skills to help an Hungarian Church Planter in his ministry.

Serve OM Hungary's ministries through fund raising and by maintaining and developing relationships with partners and potential partners.  You will work closely with the communications coordinator to produce follow up reports, thank you letters and creative feedback to maintain accountability.
There will be opportunities for you to get involved with the evangelism and church planting ministry.

We are looking for an individual or a married couple to lead a group of people on OM’s short term training program.
We would give the person opportunity to receive training and orientation before taking on the responsibility of the GA team. This would include getting to know the  current OM Hungary team, as well as cultural and language adaptation.

Hungarians love sport and sports is a universal language. Operations Manager: use your management and leadership skills to oversee the operations department to ensure smooth running, effective usage and further enhancement of the Lacken House property, the headquarters of OM Ireland.

We are looking for an individual or a married couple to lead a team of people in our training programme called Immersion.  The Immersion programme is designed to immerse its participants in God’s word, in ministry, and in Irish Culture.  Immersion consists of teaching and training in a classroom environment at OM Ireland’s ministry headquarters, Lacken House.  The majority of the Immersion experience will occur away from Lacken House in various villages and towns where the teams will partner with local churches.
Your role will be to ensure that the team is involved in regular effective evangelistic outreach into the local community and region in partnership with other local Christians; lead the team in training and envisioning the local church for mission; be responsible for the pastoral care of the team and development of team life; and also oversee the team’s training programme.

The GAP-Italia Team Leader(s) or couple will work alongside the Global Action Program (GAP-Italia) Coordinators in leading the discipleship process, the evangelism training, and the outreaches planned in different cities in Italy.  This is a great next step in mission leadership for candidate(s) who have ship or other experience in a GA-type discipleship program, in leading discipleship discussions, and in planning and leading creative outreaches.

With the Transform 2010 conference happening in Rome in July 2010, there are a thousand logistical details that need to be sorted from the OM Italy side.  We need someone who can be the point of contact in the Italy office concerning Transform 2010 logistics.  This person would facilitate communication regarding Transform 2010 between the Italy office and the dozens of other sending and receiving fields who are participating in Transform 2010.  They will assist with the recruiting and organizing of Italian volunteers, research plane and train travel details, assist with the application and acquiring of public permits, research accommodation options for outreach teams in Italy, and otherwise keep track of all Transform 2010 related logistical details.  This person must be organized, good with details, responsible, and confident.

• Meeting the users needs and requirements for Application systems

Then the role of Journalist at our Training Centre is for you.  We are looking for a creative writer to produce regular articles about our different ministries at Lifehope.  You will visit our teams, interview team members and local pastors and produce short stories and reports for the web and our publications.

You will feature the work of our current five community outreach teams, some of our specialised teams such as Kids 'n' Things and our Chinese team, our training programmes and our other vital support ministries. You will also have the opportunity to join some of our short-term missions in order to interview some of our short-term participants and write the final report at the end of the mission.

MS Windows Specialists are required to enhance the standard OM configuration for Windows PC's by defining an optimal standard as new technologies evolve, such as, XP Professional; research and recommend standard applications and procedures for the Win platform; investigate methods to electronically maintain software on PC's; create documentation; and define options for local customization (i.e. language).

The regional co-ordinator's role is to lead OM's representation to local churches and individuals in his/her region of the UK.  We currently have regional co-ordinators representing us in only five regions – there is scope for another half a dozen!    The role involves taking meetings on behalf of OM, meeting church leaders, helping OMers strengthen relationships with their sending churches and supporters, organizing meetings for visiting speakers and presentation teams, etc.

Each year 200+ people from the UK take part in 'Global Challenge' events - short-term (2 weeks to 3 months) outreaches in every corner of the world.  This role involves communicating with those interested in taking part - by phone, email, letter, etc., then processing applications and helping Global Challenge participants with preparation, travel etc.    There will be opportunities to go with other team members taking meetings to promote 'Global Challenge' and an opportunity to take part in one Global Challenge outreach each year.
Building good relationships with 'Global Challenge' participants is a key part of this role, so follow-up after their return to the UK will also be part of the role

Developers are needed to work on PETRA, OM's in house, custom developed software package which is used in over 90 locations worldwide and is vital for the stability and upkeep of OM's administration records and financial systems. PETRA developers are involved in designing and developing new functionality as well as supporting our large and diverse user-base. Technologies currently being used include C#, .NET framework, Mono, PostgreSQL RDBMS.

As part of our aim to challenge and teach young people more about Christ we need a student coordinator to link with universities and colleges across the UK. We want to get students interested in short-term mission – how they can make a difference – and we can do that by telling them about the opportunities available to them through seminars, visits to Christian Unions and other groups for young adults.
Our ultimate aim is to provide young people with training in opportunities for short-term mission and to give them a long-term vision for what God is doing across the world with OM.

This is an opportunity to serve as a System Administrator in OM's International Co-ordinating Team (ICT).  The role is to maintain and develop the IT facilities for a busy International office including a number of remote workers.  There are many opportunities to investigate new technologies and software that can be used internationally in OM.  ICT supports and co-ordinates OM's work in about 100 countries and the System Administrator role is vital for this team to be as effective as possible.

OM's International Communications Department is in need of Web Designers. This role will require the production of web designs to reflect OM's unique
character and multinational culture. The emphasis is on the end user experience, ease of navigation, and a fresh style that will help build community and maintain relationships with OM's partners.

Web technologies are a vital part of OM's IT infrastructure and used to make information available within the organisation, to the public, and to partner individuals and organisations.  Web technologies are also important for building and
maintaining a sense of community.  The Web System Documentation Writer is responsible for writing and maintaining end user documentation for OM's international web systems.  There is also the possibility of carrying out end user training.

OM's web system is vital for both internal and external communications and is also important for building community.  A help desk person is needed to respond to user questions and to assist OM's 5400 workers in using OM's web system.  The person is also expected to play an active part in finding bugs, testing bug fixes, and suggesting improvements.

OM's International Communications Department is in need of a trainer who will be able to provide a comprehensive range of integrated classroom and web based learning services to enable OM staff to improve their productivity and effectiveness through our public and internal web systems.

OM UK’s website is an essential means of communicating news, giving information and providing an easy way of giving financially to support OM workers or project appeals. However, the current webmaster is also responsible for other significant areas of OM ministry and these areas have recently taken more of his time.
We now need someone to join the team to work full-time on our website development. Initially this will involve implementing our current website redesign, then working with the communications and financial development departments to provide regular updates.

OM's International Communications Department is in need of a writer to write materials for marketing, newsletters, web content, and internal news releases that communicate programs and services offered and complies with OM's brand and security standards.

If your passion is sharing the Gospel with teenagers and you already have experience in youth work, OM Lifehope has opportunities for you. Our evangelism teams are involved in leading weekly youth clubs with our partner churches.  We need an experienced youth worker to come alongside them to mentor and train them in youth work.  Once a year, we also organise "Teens in Missions"(TiM) in the UK.  In the planning stages, there are resources and training sessions to prepare for the teenagers. During the mission, there will be orientation and training sessions to be delivered, followed by an outreach programme. All year there are many other opportunities to develop further youth initiatives through our contacts in local secondary schools and community projects.

The Youth Track will equip you to be an effective and committed youth worker while gaining a formal UK qualification: The National Certificate in Christian Youth Work.  You will receive high quality and relevant training and experience life in a church-based international team.
