Acting as a key member of the finance team, you will be:
Entering financial data.
Working with banking software to make international electronic payments.
Assisting the Financial Accountant.

Application development/systems engineering with a background in Windows Server technology and some Linux.  This position will be involved in analyzing and evaluating different OM Ships requirements/strategies for on board and land based applications to support the ministry & community.  These include Web application/development, Databases, Audio/Video streaming technology, VoIP telephony, Networking, Office integration components, etc.  Previous application/analysis experience is needed with 3+ years of technical IT experience.  This position is in Carlisle UK and reports to the Director of IT.

We are in need of people with Carpentry skills to work on board Logos Hope. Job will involve general repairs, furniture building as well as cabin rebuilding where appropriate

The applicant will have to develop and maintain extensive operational database system including analysis, design and deployment.

Provide dental hygiene for the staff and crew of the Logos Hope.  There will be opportunity to provide dental hygiene to under-served people in selected ports the ships visit.

Provide quality general dentistry for the staff and crew of the Logos Hope or Doulos. There will be some opportunity to provide dentistry to under-served people in selected ports the ships visit.

We are in need of people with experience in electrical engineering. Work will involve general electrical maintenance, but also new installation work. The job will be based on our Ship, the Logos Hope.

By August 2010 we will be in need of 2 Electricians.

The successful applicant will have the following responsibilities:
Providing timely and accurate maintenance of the General Ledger
Preparing and booking of journal entries.
Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
Assisting the Management Accountant in preparing regular financial statements.
Ensuring effective working capital and foreign exchange management.
Cash-flow forecasting.
Coach and mentor financial accountants.

The applicant will have a round skill base in Information and Communication Technologies. This will include, Windows & Linux OS, Systems Management, Inforamtion Security, Network Management, Satellite and Telephone systems management, Wireless technologies and Desktop Hardware/Software Support. Ability to provide team leadership and interact with Dept Managers and ascertain needs is required.

The applicant will have to assist the IT Manager in administration of deployed systems.

The applicant will have experience in teaching user level use of computer technology with special emphasis on Microsoft Operating systems, Microsoft office and WEB applications. Experience with ECDL/ICDL program is preferred.

Based on shore at the Ships Headquarters. The position involved providing articles and other copy for OM Ships publications and other publications worldwide, maintaining website content, and interaction with international media.

Preparation of management accounts.
Reviewing and analyzing financial data.
Preparing ad hoc analysis.
Preparation of financial projections and budgets.
Financial modeling to support strategic planning.

The applicant will have an all round skill base in Information and Communication Technologies. This will include, Windows & Linux OS, extensive experience in wide area network design & security, user authentication & management in both wired & wireless technologies for campus environment. Experience in programming in OOP languages required.

Responsible, under the Chief Engineer, for the operation and maintenance of all refrigeration and air conditioning systems on board Logos Hope.
Experience: previous experience with refrigeration and air conditioning systems required, preferably in a marine environment.
Systems on board: 
    Air conditioning - IMTEC chilled water, Carrier screw-type compressors - R - 404a (totalling about 2000kW cooling capacity), plus local systems for IT server room
    Refrigeration - Stal Astra  & Bitzer compressors  R-134a direct expansion for main refrigerated spaces, and several smaller systems in various locations.

Technical support specialist with background in Windows and/or Linux operating systems and Windows Desktop applications to support OM Ships IT Managers onboard in problem resolution and remote worker support.  This position is in Carlisle UK and reports to the Director of IT.  Experience/training in industry/university is needed with  1 – 2 years experience.

The applicant will have experience in videography, mixing, editing and production. Equipment management & maintenance.
