Ships
1st Engineering Officer
An additional 1st Engineering Officer (Reg III/2) is required for the Logos Hope AS SOON AS POSSBILE. The preference is for someone to join us long term, but any length of time may be helpful.

The 1st Engineering Officer is accountable to the Chief Engineering Officer for conducting efficient watch in the machinery spaces whilst at sea, duty watches in port and for the general running and day-to-day functions of the Engine Department.
Chief Engineering Officer
A Chief Engineering Officer is required for the Logos Hope, either on a long term basis or rotation basis AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

The Chief Engineering Officer is responsible to the Master for the safe and efficient running of all the ships machinery and technical systems, excluding those items of navigational and fire-fighting equipment, which come under the Deck Department.

Live in a unique international community on board a ship. Be a part of the organization’s aim to bring knowledge, help and hope to the world, transforming lives and communities through literature provision, aid projects and a message of hope in God. Develop your skills, giftings and passions in life while serving God and people. Work five days a week in one of the ship’s departments, such as galley, cleaning team, deck, engine room or book fair and receive on-the-job training. Enjoy one off day and one day of ministry on board or on shore. Training is provided for your work department, outreach skills, leadership development and more. Be challenged to share your faith in new ways, such as street evangelism, mimes, and sketchboards. Learn about different cultures and traditions as you live in a close contact with people from all over the world. Your time on board becomes what you make of it!
Graphic Designer
Working with the on shore Marketing and Communications team, you will be responsible for:
- Design and production of resources for print and web use.
- Managing the photo catalogue and support external requests for photos.
Media Relations Coordinator
Working with the Director of Communications, you will be responsible for:
- - Developing strong media resources .
- - Developing and maintaining media contact list .
- - Building relationships with key media outlets locally, nationally and internationally.
- - Helping to provide requested resources to the media.
- - Helping develop a PR strategy for the US market.
- - Monitoring media coverage.
Pipe Fitting Welder
We are looking for a qualified welder with welding and pipe fitting experience especially in the marine environment (desirable but not necessary). Together with a helper you assemble, weld and install pipe systems and related materialssuch as pipe supports, transition sleeves, fittings and auxiliary equipment.
You will ensure proper reporting of variations in due time with special attention to critical processes taking place.
Web and New Media Designer
Working with the Director of Communications, this person will be responsible for:
- - Maintaining and developing the OM Ships web properties.
- - Updating and creating tools and systems for sharing information on the internet.
- - Working with e-mail newsletter system.
- - Analyzing web statistics and newsletter results to improve effectiveness.
