As part of an international crew, your task is to maintain the ship to a high standard, sail on a published schedule and provide security and facilities while in various ports. Missionary Skipper (Zambia)
Here is an opportunity of a lifetime for a practical, adventure-loving person, who also loves Jesus and those who have yet to come to know Him as their saviour.
We need a person who will act as skipper/deck man and be responsible for the maintenance on an 8-man boat.
The boat will serve as a medical clinic and will visit villages on the shores of Lake Tanganyika once a month on the Zambian side from Tanzania to D.R. Congo border (± 230 km roundtrip visiting ± 11 villages)

1st Engineering Officer (Ships)
A long term 1st Engineering Officer is required for the Logos Hope.

The 1st Engineering Officer is accountable to the Chief Engineering Officer for conducting efficient watch in the machinery spaces whilst at sea, duty watches in port and for the general running and day-to-day functions of the Engine Department.
Chief Engineering Officer (Ships)
A Chief Engineering Officer is required for the Logos Hope, either on a longe term basis or rotation basis.

The Chief Engineering Officer is responsible to the Master for the safe and efficient running of all the ships machinery and technical systems, excluding those items of navigational and fire-fighting equipment, which come under the Deck Department.

Refrigeration and Air conditioning Engineer (Ships)
Responsible, under the Chief Engineer, for the operation and maintenance of all refrigeration and air conditioning systems on board Logos Hope.
Experience: previous experience with refrigeration and air conditioning systems required, preferably in a marine environment.
Systems on board:
Air conditioning - IMTEC chilled water, Carrier screw-type compressors - R - 404a (totalling about 2000kW cooling capacity), plus local systems for IT server room
Refrigeration - Stal Astra & Bitzer compressors R-134a direct expansion for main refrigerated spaces, and several smaller systems in various locations.
