Lifehope Summer ELCO - Summer English Language and Community Outreach (United Kingdom)
The purpose of this programme is twofold: firstly to improve your English as you participate in English classes and secondly to reach out to people with the love of God as you gain confidence in sharing the Gospel.
Each morning you will have English classes taught by qualified teachers and each afternoon you will apply your English learning. During the morning English classes, qualified teachers will help you work on your speaking and listening skills, basic grammar, pronunciation and learning new vocabulary.

Each afternoon, there will be an organised ministry programme that will help you work on your conversational English. You will be involved in local community projects and you will talk to and befriend local people. You will have opportunities to share the Gospel one-to-one.
Participants are expected to have basic conversational English, so that we can build on their existing knowledge and help them improve their English. We are not able to take beginners.
At our OM Lifehope Training Centre, near Birmingham, in dormitory-style bunk beds.
Food will be provided. We need to be informed in advance of special dietary requirements (vegetarian, etc...)
If possible, participants should fly into Birmingham International Airport and we will arrange for them to be met at the airport. Those flying into London or Manchester should take a coach (bus) to Birmingham Central coach station and we will arrange for them to be collected from the coach station. Participants should be in good health. Each participant is responsible to obtain appropriate emergency health and medical insurance.
Nationals from the EU and EEA do not require a visa for the UK. For all other nationalities you will need an invitation letter.
There is a maximum of 15 people for this programme and so it is advised to apply early.
The arrival day is Saturday 9th July and you can arrive any time during the day or evening. The programme will end on Friday 22nd July in the evening. The departure day is Saturday 23rd July and you can already leave in the morning.
