Short-term Missions Trip

GO Conference Service Team - Netherlands (Netherlands)

The purpose of the conference is to orientate all new workers before they go out to their different places of ministry. Every year we struggle to find good people who love to serve 'behind the scenes' to support this ministry.

Can I serve God in missions by driving a van load of people from the airport, helping to cook for 260 people, running a children's programme? We need people who want to serve in practical ministry at our Global Orientation (GO) conference. You will help the conference run smoothly. It is also an amazing time to check out mission opportunities around the world as you mix with long term missionaries.

We need people to help in 9 different departments: Cleaning, Transport, the A-team (general - anytime, anywhere), Crèche, Kids Program, Kitchen, Dish Washing, Dining Room, Snack Bar, Coffee Corner. There is a special time of ministry and worship each day for the service team. You are also welcome to attend any of the main conference sessions.

Need people who are physically fit, hard workers, flexible.

There are dormitory-style rooms, camping cabins and 10-person tents with bunk beds. If preferred, you can bring your own caravan or tent. Toilet/shower facilities are at the end of the hall or in a separate building for the tents.

All meals are provided. All conference participants and volunteer staff eat together.

Everyone must organize and pay for their own travel to and from the conference centre or the local train station (Delden). We can pick you up in Delden free of charge. How to find us: Instructions right to the conference centre can be provided for those who are coming by car.

People need to be able to work 6-8 hour days. Work in the kitchen, dish washing and dining room can be heavy work.
