Short-term Mission Trips - by Date

Build and install a new playground at a local church while building relationships with the local community.

Before going out with a team of 8 to 15 participants to partner with a local church, you will be equipped at a three-day orientation. This will be held at Magaliesberg YFC in Gauteng Province. You will receive teaching on cross-cultural communication and the Biblical basis of missions. You will also receive tools that will be useful on the outreach. For example: how to use sport as an evangelism tool, how to use a big screen broadcast as an evangelistic tool, how to conduct soccer or sport clinics, how to share your testimony, how to share the gospel with someone, creative evangelism tools, children's ministry, AIDS ministry, working among prostitutes, etc. Take Note: A TICKET TO A WORLD CUP GAME IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE OUTREACH

There will be different opportunities to help our club teams with training, coaching and playing. You will participate the training and tournaments of the Hungarian Junior and Cadet national teams. Also opportunities to help with field development and tournaments.

For the outreach, we will offer training for youth 10-16 in the basic skills of baseball helping them to learn and understand the game of baseball and developing them into a team that can join the Hungarian baseball league. This will give the Hungarian church planter ongoing relationships for follow-up and discipleship.

The team meets in Odessa for orientation on 26 June and leaves for the camp on the next day. Together with local Christian they prepare for the camp and visit a Church on Sunday where they can bless the church with song and mime. The camp commences on Monday, 29 June. Children, ages 6-16, are mostly from poor and unbelieving families. After the camp the teams returns to Odessa for a day of rest and debriefing.

Impact 2010 will involve Christians from around the world working together with local churches for two weeks to share and demonstrate the love of Jesus. We hope to make an impact through a programme of evangelistic and bridge-building events and activities. Our desire is to see a lasting impact in the lives of individuals, churches and communities through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In some villages the programme goes on for the whole day; in some only half a day with another such camp programme in a neighbouring village. Children do not sleep in the camp, but home. You will attend the OCZ010 Asia conference held in Malaysia in July and step out on a 10 day road trip to Cambodia. Come to say 'YES' to Jesus for transforming lives and communities.

Each day the same children will come to learn about the Bible and Jesus through English. This will include a morning and afternoon lesson from the Bible. Between the lessons will be games, songs and crafts.

This is a great opportunity for those people with a heart for Japan and a desire to use their God-given talents in literature distribution and creative ministry to the Japanese.

The Keneta (swamp land) is an illegal settlement on the edge of the city of Durres with areas of severe poverty. By sharing the Gospel through practical, creative and relational outreach we hope to bring hope to this area.

Based in the small city of Lushnje the team will travel to surrounding villages and cities visiting homes, giving food and sharing about Jesus.

Alongside local believers, we will be reaching out to teens and youth in Bihac. This includes special programs, visiting locals, building friendships and sharing the life-giving story of hope.

A team of visual and media fine artists (painters, photographers, designers, videographers, etc...) will use their various God-given gifts to minister to communities in Italy, sharing the love of God through the visual language of art. Working together with local churches and the community, artists will have the opportunity to explore the culture, listen to the stories of the people, and respond in artistic ways that bless the community. Whether it is by painting a mural, creating a community centered gallery show, or some other type of artistic endeavor, the ultimate goal is the same – show God's love in a way that transcends languages and nationalities.

Looking for short "You Tube" style video clips to be created in addition to promotional multi-media presentation tools.

Many strongholds need to be torn down in this spiritually dry land; come and prayer walk through a holy Islamic city, dare to make friends in desert and beach cities with the message and love of Christ, cry out to God as you walk through a desert oasis or a back city alleyway! Come and support the workers and local believers in prayer, but be careful, the Lord might just call you long term here!

The purpose of this outreach is to take the Good News into remote mountain villages into places where access is limited and people are widely cut off from modern means of communication and also from the Story of Life.

If you want to invest about two weeks in an intense prayer battle to see God's kingdom break through in a very closed land this is the trip for you! Maybe you are like Paul, who wanted to preach the gospel where Christ was not known.? Join us to reach out to people who have never heard the message of love, reconciliation and peace with God. In the meantime you might cross deserts, walk along beaches, visit crowded market places, go into mosques, and take trips to oases. You must be ready to befriend both the idealistic student and drink tea with a conservative sheikh in a small desert village.

In partnership with a local camping, the team will be involved in the program and activities in the camping, creating evangelism opportunities in the camping activities context, also together with the local churches and other organizations working in that particular area of the country. Considering the high number of people there in this holiday season, we would have enormous opportunities to make an impact. Building on last year's experience with the Festival É FISH, we want to cooperate again and make this project an integral part of Festival É FISH 2010.

Working in partnership with a local church, you will reach out to a needy urban population through a variety of ministries including personal evangelism and prayer-walking, with an emphasis on introducing young people to the living Lord Jesus.

The ArtsLink Turkey team will impact a community through friendship evangelism, the visual arts and sharing their personal story. The artists will have time to produce their own art, interact with local artists, visit in the community and celebrate the time with an exhibition.

Using their experience (and their instruments) Transform2010 Turkey musicians, dancers and actors will be organised into small groups by talent and instrumentation and take to the streets throughout the Mediterranean region of Turkey. Through performing, giving testimony, sharing and signing up people for the Bible Correspondence Course, we are planning for a creative expression of the Gospel that will result in people coming to faith.

Participants will focus on one of the most unevangelised areas of the world - the east of Turkey - in order to reach 3000 families through a unique and powerful video. Contacts will be linked into an extensive followup system. The teams will work in pairs, meeting every few days for prayer and feedback.

In Brazil we have a high number of poor people, homeless. We will be working with the local churches to bring some hope to these people

Many Arabs from closed countries come to Switzerland for their Summer holidays. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to share the love of God with them. Interlaken is a nice small town surrounded by mountains. It is quite a famous place in Switzerland.

Participants will stay the first two nights in OM Russia’s new Discipleship Centre for a mini-conference including worship and Bible teaching, basic language lessons, team building, country orientation and outreach planning. The team will then travel 12 hours by train to the town of Rubsovsk for five days to be involved with ministry with the local church. This will include open air evangelism, ministry to drug addicts, children’s and teenage work. The team will then travel on to a Siberian village to run a five day holiday Bible club for non-churched children. This will include sport, games, Bible lessons, crafts and lots of fun! The team will then travel back to Novosibirsk for a final day of sight-seeing.

You will be working with an international team but also together with a local church in running a holiday club. Our aim is that this outreach will give the ongoing ministry - in a socially needy district of Greifswald - a boost. We will run a one week programme with the kids - do various activities, games, sports and creative stuff. Besides giving also a spiritual input, we will also seek to establish relationships to the parents. Our main goals are: Being a light in this neighbourhood, introducing Jesus to the kids and their parents, providing a fun time for kids who usually don’t have many highlights, raising the self esteem of the kids, supporting the kids to develop skills like concentration, coordination, etc. Since the circus theme worked last year as an excellent tool to reach our goals we will continue to run a circus theme programme in 2010. With us you can get involved in evangelism, kids ministry, prayer walking, social action, building friendships, etc.

Participants will set off from a central location and cycle to different villages every day. They do have evangelistic meetings in the villages they are going to.

Can I serve God in missions by driving a van load of people from the airport, helping to cook for 260 people, running a children's programme? We need people who want to serve in practical ministry at our Global Orientation (GO) conference. You will help the conference run smoothly. It is also an amazing time to check out mission opportunities around the world as you mix with long term missionaries.

After a short time of orientation you will participate in a 3-day extreme leadership training camp with young adults from local churches.

We will be visiting children’s homes in Santiago, a school for blind and handicapped adults in Vina del Mar, a Christian book store and youth hostel on the island of Chiloe, a prison ministry in Punta Arenas, meet pastors and mission groups visit churches and leave room for a few surprise opportunities. On the tour side, we will have a walking tour of the historical part of Santiago, visit the beach at Vina del Mar, enjoy the island of Chiloe, visit Magdalena Island and walk among the penguins and end our trip with a tour of the national part Torres Del Paine.During the trip there will be a life direction seminar and Bible study as we examine spiritual gifts and Gods call on the next step of your life.

In the Adventure Team we do youth work, visit churches, evangelize on the streets, children work and be involved in whatever the church is doing at that moment.
