Short-term Mission Trips - by Type

Starting Sunday night with an family festival for the participants and their families, we will desire to pass on our love for baseball, teach good baseball fundamentals, model and teach Christian character so that they will fall in love with Jesus.

You will be travelling with the dance team, taking photos, making videos, interviewing people and writing stories. You will also be part of the orientation in language, culture and local religion.

For one week Baja in Hungary will be full of Art loving teenagers. You can help with this Evangelistic Art Camp by capturing the stories from the outreach.

During the London Hope you will have the opportunity to mix in with our 6 months - 2 year students and see what life in London is really like. You will have the opportunity for both training and evangelism and mixing in with the year long evangelism program.

You will be teaching dance workshops and doing live performances in order to help local believers reach their community with the gospel. You will have 3 days of preparation beforehand including orientation of the local culture.

As part of our Olympics focus this summer you will be joining a dance team. Opportunities will be varied and will probably include dance performances in public spaces and also in churches. You will also have opportunities to interact with the local people you will be reaching out to.

Dancers will work together to teach workshops and will have opportunities to perform.

The church of Clermont-Ferrand(central-south France) is mobilising for a week of outreach in its community, hopefully with other churches in the area too! They would love to have your help! Come and work side by side with French believers, taking the gospel out into the streets.

Since 2005 our Creative Arts Team has put together a 45 action packed theatre production aimed to help the au-dience explore the true meaning of this special holiday in a fun and interactive way. The show brings together a wide range of performance methods such as puppets, music, dance, drama, magic tricks, and much more!

This is a great opportunity for those people with a heart for Taiwan and a desire to use their God-given talents in literature distribution and creative ministry to the Taiwanese. It is also a meaningful time to meet the needy and disadvantaged minority, to warmth their hearts with God’s love.

The interns will be training for 4 weeks at the beautiful Forterocca training center in Northern Italy. After that they will participate in outreaches in Europe.

You will be based in the beautiful Balkan mountain ranges of Bulgaria in a village called Boboshevo. Here you will be surrounded by over 50 orphans which have been brought from a number of orphanages from the Kyustendil region. For these children it is a highlight of their year, if not their life!

Reaching out to the refugees that arrive on Malta trying to get into Europe, speaking English with them, setting up some kids games, spending time with them, helping practically in the camp and loving them. Time will also be spent in the prayer room that is set up on the island.

Wales is a land that in the past has known great spiritual revival but now very few people have any real knowledge of the gospel and only a small percentage go regularly to a church of any kind. You will be working with an international team alongside experienced workers. Each day there will be training in various aspects of outreach, street ministry in an urban area and each evening you will work with a local church. You will have plenty of opportunities to share your faith one to one as well as being an encouragement to one of the local churches by serving them in their ongoing ministry. The outreach will take place in a county and surrounding areas called ‘The Vale of Glamorgan’ which is mainly made up of smaller towns with one or two larger urban areas. For most of the time the teams will be accommodated all together at a local Christian conference centre which will be the base of operations and the venue for training.

Starting with our "Toolkit" course, you will learn the essential skills to be able to share the Gospel confidently, work on a multi-cultural team and develop in your prayer life and personal walk with God. An outdoor adventure week is part of the team building and leadership development training. Having learnt the basics, you will then join an international team working in close partnership with a church. You will impact adults, youth and children's lives through your outreach. As you reach out to the community, you will establish friendships and have many opportunities to share your faith in many different ways. You will carry on receiving training as you develop in your ministry.

Challenge into Missions (CiM) is a practical 10 week missions training program, which provides a greater vision for world mission through theory as well as practical involvement in Mission in Moldova.

We want to learn how to carefully listen to God’s heart for specific places and people and pierce the darkness through words of truth and authority in the name of Jesus. We want to use prayer as the amazing means that sets our hearts right before our father and turn the world upside down.

Chipata is a Zambian town on the border of Malawi – this is the headquarters for Islam in Zambia, and their influence is spreading throughout Zambia. OM Zambia has a couple of missionaries based in this town, who use friendship evangelism and teaching of skills to reach Muslims in this town.

The cycling team will set off from a central location and cycle every second day to a different village where they will meet with local children, youth and elderly people to share the Gospel.

During the month of Ramadan many Turks will be searching for truth and meaning for their lives. You can help them find the truth. We will be praying for God's guidance, meeting people on the streets, in parks, in shops, any place you can think of. While traveling by train on the Transiberian railway we will share the Gospel with fellow passengers and prepare small evangelistic presentations which we will do during short visits to Siberian towns and villages.

We will stay in a poor Romanian village taking part in projects, using games and sports to bless the community and to be a light in a dark and needy place.

Chipata is a Zambian town on the border of Malawi – this is the headquarters for Islam in Zambia, and their influence is spreading throughout Zambia. OM Zambia has a couple of missionaries based in this town, who use friendship evangelism and teaching of skills to reach Muslims in this town.

We´ll be visiting various mission oportunities such as children’s homes, a school for blind and handicapped adults, emerging missions on the island of Chiloe, a prison ministry in Punta Arenas, meet pastors and mission groups, visit churches and leave room for a few surprise opportunities.
On the tour side, we will have a walking tour of the historical part of Santiago, visit the beach at Vina del Mar, enjoy the island of Chiloe, visit Magdalena Island and walk among the penguins and end our trip with a tour of the national part Torres Del Paine. During the trip there will be a life direction seminar and Bible study as we examine spiritual gifts and God's call on the next step of your life.

In the Adventure Team we do youth work, visit churches, evangelise on the streets, work with children and will be involved in whatever the church is doing at that moment.

Working in a support role for Impact Ireland 2011, you will be serving the Impact teams throughout the orientation conference and outreach by praying for them and with them, and providing hospitality and catering services at Lacken House.

Some OMers have been helping a goverment social project for blind children during the year. The director of the social project asked OM to orginize a camp to help blind kids to learn orientation to their surroundings in a forest.

During the London Hope Challenge you will have the opportunity to mix in with our 6 months - 2 year students and see what life in London is really like. You will have the opportunity for both training and evangelism and mixing in with the year long evangelism program.

Chipata is a Zambian town on the border of Malawi – this is the headquarters for Islam in Zambia, and their influence is spreading throughout Zambia. OM Zambia has a couple of missionaries based in this town, who use friendship evangelism and teaching of skills to reach Muslims in this town.

During the Outreach you will receive training, which will equip you in basic Islamics & Christian doctrine. It is centred on the Muslim mindset and how to share the Gospel in a culturally sensitive way! It also includes International Team Life, in which you will have opportunities to cook, clean, pray and worship together! All teams will be living in churches, which means the accommodation won't be 5 star! OM is based on a 'learn by doing' process and you will get plenty of 'street time' to put into practise all you have learned. You could do anything from book-tables, to street work, to door to door, to dvd distribution, to speakers corner! you will find yourself doing things you never thought you could. Our first priority is to the church plants that we have in London; the turkish church in North London and the International church in Central London. Our strategy and evangelism is based around these church plants, and is the reason for much of what you will do.

Then the description is for a journalist to travel with a dance team capturing stories on camera and through writing. This is an option for one person.

You will be working with local believers, using your dance skills to pray and reach out to local people.

For one week Baja in Hungary will be full of Art loving teenagers. You can help with this Evangelistic Art Camp by capturing the stories from the outreach.

Starting with a week of orientation, you will learn the essential skills to be able to share the Gospel confidently, work on a multi-cultural team and develop in your prayer life and personal walk with God. Having learnt the basics, you will then join an international team working in close partnership with a church. You will impact adults, youth and children's lives through your outreach. As you reach out to the community, you will establish friendships and have many opportunities to share your faith in many different ways. You will carry on receiving training as you develop in your ministry.

Join us for a unique mission opportunity. Participants will be a part of a trekking team that travels by foot through the remotest and most beautiful yet unreached areas of the country. They will visit churches and reaching out to youth and children through evangelistic programs.

You will be working with local churches, organizing a day camp for children, visiting elderly people, helping practically.

Out of the Comfort Zone Asia 2012 is a short-term mission exposure program that gives you the opportunity to experience first-hand reaching lives with the good news in East Asia. You will attend the OCZ012 Asia conference held in Malaysia in July and step out on a 17-day road trip to Cebu, Philippines. You will be working alongside a local Arab church reaching out to kids and youth. The programme will be varied. For the first week, you will help out with some of the activities in a children's holiday club. You will also be ministering to young adults and teenagers, leading up to a youth event. There will be opportunities for practical service. You will experience the local Arab culture and training will be provided.
