Transform 2012 - Mediterranean Mission Trips

For part of the outreach you will facilitate, together with other team members, a holiday “Dance School” to the children of the local community which will be aimed at developing existing relationships with both participants and parents and creating new ones. The dance school will culminate in a performance by students for parents and others. The school will be run over three full days and will include dance, craft, children's games, creative English teaching, bible teaching, sharing testimonies, and – above all – relationship building with the children for Christ. There will be many opportunities to engage with the local community both one-on-one and with more organised evangelistic outreaches aimed to enhance the ministries of the local church. There will also be a focus on prayer and restoration, and opportunities to use dance as blessing, prayer and warfare.

You will work alongside a church group who will be developing relationships in the locality. You will use a variety of methods to impact the area, such as street evangelism, door to door, market work, international evenings, music, mime, tracting and prayer as you seek to serve and edify the local church. The church with which you will be working is in the heart of a diverse multicultural community.

You will also be involved in painting, decorating and maintenance work at the prayer house.

Come and join the team in Southern Spain to run an English camp for children, build relationships with Spanish and Moroccans. Bring Christian literature into North Africa.

Portugal has one of the best surfing coasts in the world — with world class surfing competitions, as well as beginners. Most days will be spent on the beach getting to know surfers and doing friendship evangelism. There may be other activities such as surf club at the church.

You will be travelling with the dance team, taking photos, making videos, interviewing people and writing stories. You will also be part of the orientation in language, culture and local religion.

During the month of Ramadan many Turks will be searching for truth and meaning for their lives. You can help them find the truth. We will be praying for God's guidance, meeting people on the streets, in parks, in shops, any place you can think of. We want to be a friend to them, show interest in their lives and share the truth we found in our lives. You will be travelling to some of the touristy places in the South of Turkey with very warm weather and plenty of opportunities to reach out on the beach!

It is centred on the Muslim mindset and how to share the Gospel in a culturally sensitive way! It also includes International Team Life, in which you will have opportunities to cook, clean, pray and worship together! All teams will be living in churches, which means the accommodation won't be 5 star! OM is based on a 'learn by doing' process and you will get plenty of 'street time' to put into practise all you have learned. You could do anything from book-tables, to street work, to door to door, to dvd distribution, to speakers corner! you will find yourself doing things you never thought you could. Our first priority is to the church plants that we have in London; the turkish church in North London and the International church in Central London. Our strategy and evangelism is based around these church plants, and is the reason for much of what you will do.

Then join a small team traveling around the European Mediterranean nations in a Ford Transit van for the next five months! Join the Olympics in the UK reaching people through the theme of sports, then visit several Mediterranean nations and minister to kids and youth, reach out through social action and community projects. Experience the needs of Europe by engaging with local people and make a difference in their lives. Get hands-on training and grow in faith through this one-of-a-kind adventure.
