mission-net 2009 IN2 Bulgaria: Bulgaria

We want to create an opportunity for young people attending mission-net 2009 to practically outwork the lessons and teaching learnt at the congress and assess God's calling for their lives. We also want them to make an impact in the country of Bulgaria as they reach out to unbelievers and as they encourage the local church.

You will join an international team of up to 15 people working alongside those that are reaching the children of Bulgaria. We will plan the programme in consultation with those focusing on kids clubs and orphanages.

Ministry Details
The main focus is working with kids clubs in local homes, orphanages and churches that take place on a regular basis. You might do drama’s, give testimonies, tell Bible stories etc. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate God's love through words and actions. Come prepared to make a difference and be challenged!

Participant Profile
Anyone from the age of 16 who is a committed Christian and is able to maintain simple conversations in English. No previous experience is needed, as orientation will be provided. You need to apply through the mission-net website (www.mission-net.org).

Accommodation: You will either be hosted by local families, or be sleeping in the church accommodation, so come prepared and bring a sleeping bag and mat. This will be confirmed later.

Food: Food will be provided and we need to be informed in advance of special dietary needs (vegetarian, etc..)

Travel: We will arrange one-way group travel on Monday 13 April from the mission-net congress in Germany to your team in Bulgaria. For bookings made by the end of January 2009, we anticipate it costing around 200 Euros for this one-way travel, which will include airport transfers, a low-cost airline flight and all taxes and charges.

How to Find Us: We will send travel details nearer the time for those not taking the group arranged transport

Health: Participants should be in average good health and able to walk a reasonable distance without difficulty. Each participant is responsible to obtain appropriate emergency health and medical insurance.
