We want to support local churches in Guatemala with practical evangelism and discipleship training for their leaders.
Teams start with 2 days of training and orientation before moving out to minister in parks, shopping centers and schools, reaching young adults and children.

Ministry Details Teams will be involved in various means of creative evangelism such as drama, mime, sports and music.
Participant Profile People need to be flexible in adjusting to culture, local food and wearing conservative clothing. It is helpful to speak some Spanish, but not a requirement as long as you are willing to learn.
Accommodation: People will be staying part of the time at the OM Guatemala base and part of the time in rural communities, sleeping on the floor in churches.
Food: Local food will be provided. Be prepared for a diet that includes rice and beans.
Travel: People should arrive at Guatemala City airport on @9 Nov and depart on 5 Dec.

Health: People should be in good health. Please let us know in advance of any allergies or prescription medications.
Visa: People should check if they need a visa. Most will be able to get a tourist card when when they arrive at the airport.
Joy after the tears 15 May, 2006 Preparations for an Easter outreach in hurricane-devastated Guatemala were dogged with difficulty. Many died when Hurricane Stan swept through the Solola region last October. OM Guatemala's Easter programme focused on this region. But in the months leading up to Easter, the small team struggled with sickness and bereavement.
