Communications Team Leader, OM Lifehope: United Kingdom

You will provide an effective strategy for internal and external communications and lead the
communications team in accomplishing this strategy through various electronic and printed means. To produce material that promotes the ministries of OM Lifehope in raising up workers, prayer and finance.

You will be part of OM Lifehope's international community, living and working alongside people from at least 15 different nationalities.
  • Start Date: Anytime
  • Commitment Length: 2-3 years (full time)
**Must have some management experience, be able to give direction and work under pressure.
**Good English, administrative and computer skills.
**Experience in communications, marketing or PR is essential, with writing and editing skills.
**OM Lifehope orientation and training to be agreed.
**Minimum 2-year commitment.

An essential support role, enabling and releasing others to fulfil OM Lifehope's purpose - developing people to reach people with the Gospel.

  • HOPE 2 EUROPE: Sweden and Lifehope
    Join an exciting new programme for young people taking a year out! Live in 2 European countries bringing God's message of hope. Work in international teams in the UK for the first 5 months and Sweden for the next 6 months.

    During the first three weeks of orientation, in Birmingham (UK), learn how to share the gospel and be trained in skills for evangelism. Then join a church-based Community Encounter Team reaching out to the neighbourhood through kids and youth ministry, friendship evangelism, community projects and visitation.

    Then take the plane to Sweden and spend 6 months in Råslätt, a suburb outside of Jönköping with immigrants from all over the world. Reach out to needy peoples from different religious backgrounds together with the local church. The focus in Sweden will be threefold: close to God, close to each other and close to the world. Different ministry opportunities include a youth center, public schools, sports, scouts and a second hand-store.
  • Church Planter OM Turning Point
    Through the dynamic ministry of OM Turning Point in London, teams are building friendships and sharing the truth about Jesus with people from the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and other parts of Europe.
    You will serve in one of OM Turning Points two church planting ministries in London.

    Oasis International Church (English / Arabic speaking)
    Yeni Yasham Church (Turkish / English speaking)

    You will be involved in leading Bibles studies with new believers and enquirers, supporting and discipling believers. Church planters need to be willing to serve in a range of ministries with people of all ages and many different backgrounds.

    There will be opportunities for on-going training and personal development.
  • Financial Development Manager OM Turning Point
    Through the dynamic ministry of OM Turning Point in London, teams are building friendships and sharing the truth about Jesus with people from the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and other parts of Europe.

    You will serve OM Turning Point’s ministries through fund raising and by maintaining and developing relationships with partners and potential partners.  You will work closely with the communications co-ordinator to produce follow up reports, thank you letters and creative feedback to maintain accountability.

    There will be opportunities for you to get involved with the evangelism and church planting ministry.
  • Member Care Co-ordinator OM Turning Point
    Member Care Co-ordinator OM Turning Point
    This role is ideally suited for a second profession or retired individual or couple. You will oversee member care for OM Turning Point personnel as well as providing hospitality for visitors. You will help long-term staff members in career and personal development. Through encouragement and on-going support, you will release others to be more effective in ministry.
    There will be opportunities for you to get involved with the evangelism and church planting ministry.
  • System Administrator - ICT Carlisle
    This is an opportunity to serve as a System Administrator in OM's International Co-ordinating Team (ICT). The role is to maintain and develop the IT facilities for a busy International office including a number of remote workers. There are many opportunities to investigate new technologies and software that can be used internationally in OM. ICT supports and co-ordinates OM's work in about 100 countries and the System Administrator role is vital for this team to be as effective as possible.
