Volunteer worker with local refugee ministry, "Helping Hands" - a ministry of International Teams for part of the week. For more details on this ministry see www.helpinghands.gr

OM Team members who give part of their time to this ministry to refugees will also be expected to learn greek and have some involvement in some ministries of the local greek church and/or OM's local work according to gifting and skills.
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Commitment Length: 1-2 years (full time)
Willing to work on a part-time volunteer basis with a non-OM ministry and relate to both OM leaders and "Helping Hands"
leadership.

We are particularly looking for people who speak Russian, Farsi, Arabic, French or Kurdish, but are willing to consider others also.

The main ministry language in the country is Greek and much of the first
year is spent in greek language study. Willingness to serve under local church leadership. Some experience with working with either one or more of these people groups is helpful.

Please note: all jobs/opportunities on this site are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.
