Big Red Bus Team Member: Ireland

As part of our Global Action team, the person will receive a practical and hands-on training and ministry opportunity particularly in creative children’s work.

OM Ireland’s Big Red Bus is a double-decker bus converted for and widely used around Ireland for children’s ministry, youth work, and community outreach.

Bus and team will be based in OM Ireland’s new ministry base, Lacken House, near Roscommon in the heart of the nation. From there the bus will run programmes in primary schools and with local churches in different parts of Ireland.

You will have opportunities to share the love of Jesus in schools and with local churches through kids clubs and community events using puppets, crafts, games, drama and other creative ways. Additionally, there will be opportunities to do youth work using the bus as a coffee bar for teens and also street work in town centres.

  • Start Date: Mon 01 Sep 2008
  • Commitment Length: 1-2 years (full time)
At least conversational English language ability – team and ministry language is English
Minimum age 17 years
Desire to work with children, and also a willingness to work with other ages
Fulfil and abide by OM Ireland child protection requirements

1 or 2 year commitment
Starting through GO conference in either September or January
