Evangelistic work amongst students: Russian Federation

There has been a team doing evangelistic work amongst students organised by the Russian Baptist Churches in Novosibirsk for 5 years. As partners with the Russian Baptist Church, OM has helped out in this ministry from its beginning and continues to do so. The work is flexible - missionaries and local Christians use many creative ways to build relationships with students and share with them the good news e.g. music clubs, discussion clubs, art clubs, visiting student dormitories, conferences etc.
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Commitment Length: 2-3 years (full time)
Applicants would have to be able to work in a traditional Russian Baptist Church environment.
This, combined with language learning, is a full time position. Ideal applicants would have completed higher education (university level) and have a heart for and experience of evangelistic work amongst students.
An applicant would have to commit to at least 2 years, since it takes at least one year to become comfortable enough to communicate in Russian.
We are looking also for a family who would be able to commit longer-term to lead the student work in one of the student teams.

Please note: all jobs/opportunities on this site are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.
