Evangelist/Discipler/Church Planter: Near EastBe part of a focused church-planting ministry team sharing the gospel with and discipling Arabs (or Kurds). The focus is on learning Arabic (or Kurdish) well, adjusting culturally and developing good ministry skills. This usually involves full-time language study for the first two years, although this can often be combined with other relevant interests (teaching, sport, music, etc.). Developing relationships and seeking to share the gospel is expected from day one. We have a number of ministry teams in both urban and rural locations.
- a passion for making Jesus known - love for people - not afraid of challenges - self-motivated - attitude of willingness to learn (esp. language and culture) - short-term overseas mission experience - an openness to stay in the region long-term. - sharing Jesus with people now (i.e., before coming to the field) Please note: all jobs/opportunities on this site are unsalaried. Most people joining OM have to raise financial support to cover their living expenses, usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.
