Communications Officer: South Africa

Communication with churches, other OM teams, supporters and friends of the team. Writing and sending out newsletters, prayer updates, submitting articles to magazines, updating the web site, writing and designing brochures and other recruiting materials.

Trained in desktop publishing and work experience in publishing documents using Adobe Creative Suite software preferred.
Skills:
+A sense of what looks good on the printed page or computer.
+Team player.
+Good/Excellent understanding of English

TeenStreet South Africa 2007 Participants<br>Everyone crammed together for the official group photo! Stationary Packs for Zimbabwe<br>Teens reached out to the young people of Zimbabwe by making stationary packs and writing letters of encouragement to be sent to that country. Sent Out to Serve<br>Two teens pray for a hospital patient. During this outreach God not only worked through the participants but in them challenging them of living a lifestyle of servanthood.<br /><br /><br /> Gospel presentation<br>Dan and his sons present the gospel with a powerful drama. Many participants responded to God?s invitation through them to follow Him. Sharing Testimonies<br>Professional South African soccer player, Ricardo Katza, was invited to share his testimony. Cross-Cultural Missions<br>One had teens travel around the world in 80 minutes ? they got a taste for some of the world's cultures (and their food!) and learned about God?s plans for the nations.

    You will serve OM South Africa's ministries through fund raising and by maintaining and developing relationships with partners and potential partners. You will work closely with the communications co-ordinator to produce follow up reports,thank you letters and creative feedback to maintain acountability
  • Global Challenge Assistant
    Assist the Global Challenge Co-ordinator with organising short term outreaches.
