Ecuador
- Church Planter - Santay Island
Santay Island is situated in the river which forms the eastern border of the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. It is home to about 200 people, abandoned by the world for 50 years, and currently without an established church . For the last few years OM has been ministering part time here in partnership with a local church in the city, and a good relationship has been established with the people. The time is ripe to really press on towards an established church, but no one has been found to take on the challenge.
FURTHER DETAILS 1. Living on this Island and understanding their lifestyle. 2. Building relationships with the people. 3. Laying Biblical foundations with the adults. 4. Discipling the youth. 5. Identifying and developing leaders. 6. We also believe a literacy program with the adults would be beneficial.
