The Ladies Travelling Team was sent to Mauritania, where they experienced a wide-open door. The team in Morocco is involved in ministry in eight locations (evangelism, discipleship, church planting) and is experiencing open doors in a town in the heartland of the Berbers.

Baptisms and House Churches

One of the first known M’zab believers was baptised this summer (M’zab is an unreached people group from southern Algeria with strong Islamic traditions) and church planting teams are experiencing growth of house churches in ten different cities. Eleven students finished the Timothy School this year; 107 have graduated since the school started. They are looking for new premises.

House churches and trainign base

It is encouraging to see the growth and development of two house churches in two different cities. Church membership increased by at least 30 percent; recently three were baptised in one city.

The ministry training base was purchased and is now being built in January 2008.

The freedom that the Algerian church has experienced until last year seems to be coming to an end with increased pressure from the government. Algerian believers have requested prayer as churches have recently been closed and several brothers stand trial.
