Outreach Report- Polican, Albania
OM International

This last month the OM teams in Lushnje and Durres joined together to help the a church in the town of Poliçan. Different team members worked together in their areas of expertise to reach as many different groups of people as possible. Lushnje team leader, Job Mohlomi reports:
The women’s meeting attracted 20 women (the pastor was really skeptical as their previous attempts with women’s meetings failed). The success of this meeting boiled down to your prayers, and the visits that, Marie, Erna, Alba, Mona, Susan and some people from the church did in the morning. They managed to share the gospel one-on-one with the women, and most of them came for the meeting in the afternoon.
The children’s program was also a great highlight as in the first meeting there were 35 kids and 55 in the following meeting. The message of the gospel was also shared clearly. The schools program suffered a setback as we got kicked out by the director. One of our colleagues had put a Bible verse in her display, and the director was mad when he saw it. He thought that we had tricked him, as the schools here like in many countries are secular. Anyway, that afternoon for our youth program we had 20 young people, and the next day we had 60. They were very noisy during the games, but they listened carefully to Job’s testimony and Suela’s message. Once again, we managed to share the gospel to this group during the program and the talks with individuals.
The medical part of the outreach was also very successful. Dr. Cho was overwhelmed with 60 people that came for the visits. The seminar with Dr. Guy from the ABC clinic attracted 6 people in the morning, and the afternoon one was a success as about 20 nurses attended.
This outreach was a mix of many models of evangelism, and in many cases we have managed to share the gospel with different people. One of the main highlight was the enthusiasm that we saw in the few believers of Polican church. They were so encouraged that we came to help them with evangelism, and above all to see that we care for them.
