Seeds of LifehopeOM InternationalEnglish/EspanolIn June 2008, OM Lifehope hosted a team from the First Evangelical Church in Memphis, U.S., for a two week-long outreach to share the love of Christ with Muslims in Birmingham and other parts of England. In the first week, the group held a children’s Holiday Club where 75 children attended. The kids learned Bible verses, stories and Christian songs. Overall, during the two weeks more than 250 children and youth were reached with the Gospel through the various activities and clubs. The group also did door to door evangelism, where 50 Jesus films and Gospels were given out and many new contacts were developed. They also gave out hundreds of tracts and Christian literature on the streets in the city centre. Ben, the team leader from Memphis, commented afterward, “This trip has challenged us as a group to step outside ourselves and trust the Lord to do the work through us. For me this was the most satisfying thing of the week: watching my team members step out in faith to serve God and love people.” Pray for OM Lifehope’s influence in the Muslim communities in Birmingham. Pray for the growth of the seeds that were planted during this short-term outreach. Pray that the lives of the people on the team will be forever changed by the experience.
SEMILLAS DE “ESPERANZA DE VIDA” En Junio 2008, “Esperanza de Vida” de OM fue anfitriona de un equipo de la Primera Iglesia Evangélica en Menphis, EE.UU. El programa duró dos semanas y pudieron compartir a Cristo con musulmanes en Birmingham y otras partes de Inglaterra. Durante la primera semana, el grupo organizó un Club de Vacaciones para niños, al cual concurrieron 75 pequeños. Los niños aprendieron versículos bíblicos, al mismo tiempo, historias y canciones cristianas. Durante las dos semanas, más de 250 niños y jóvenes fueron alcanzados con el Evangelio a través de varias actividades. El grupo también hizo evangelismo puerta a puerta, donde se distribuyeron 50 películas Jesús y evangelios, también se hicieron muchos contactos para un seguimiento posterior.
