Last year saw the first ever Balaton-NET Interdenominational Christian Conference in Hungary, in partnership with Keswick Convention out of England, and the Hungarian Evangelical Alliance, with world renowned Christian speaker Luis Palau.

This week, 20-25 August, Balaton-NET is once again welcoming Christians from all over the region for five days of teaching, encouragement and fellowship on the shores of Lake Balaton. The theme is “Message from the Frontline,” and Ian Coffee (UK) will be leading Bible study each morning and giving the message each evening. Various seminar tracks are available in addition to the Mission Expo where exhibitors will give people an idea of what God is doing around the world. OM Hungary’s Bus4Life will also be there.

Please pray for the 1,000 believers that are expected to attend. Pray that people will be challenged to live more radically for Christ. Last year over 100 people made new professions of faith; pray that more will hear and accept the Gospel this year. Pray also for those from OM Hungary who are helping to organize the event.
 

SEGUNDA CONFERENCIA CRISTIANA ANUAL

El año pasado se realizó la primera Conferencia Cristiana Interdenominacional Red-Balatón en Hungría, en cooperación con la Convención Keswick de Inglaterra y la Alianza Evangélica de Hungría. En esa ocasión el orador fue el reconocido mundialmente Luis Palau.

Esta semana, del 20 al 25 de Agosto, la Red-Balatón también está recibiendo cristianos de todas las regiones para una conferencia que durará cinco días, a fin de animar y tener comunión unos con otros a las orillas del lago Balatón. El tema es “El Mensaje desde la Primera Línea” y Ian Coffee del Reino Unido liderará los estudios bíblicos cada mañana, así como los mensajes de cada noche. Habrá varios seminarios para tomar, así como la Expo-Misiones, donde los expositores darán a los interesados una idea acerca de lo que Dios está haciendo alrededor del mundo. El Bus por la Vida, de OM Hungría estará también presente.

Por favor ora por los más de 1000 creyentes que asistirán. Ora para que las personas sean desafiadas a tomar un compromiso mayor con Cristo. El año pasado, más de 100 personas hicieron una nueva profesión de fe, ora para que más escuchen y acepten el evangelio este año. Ora también por aquellos miembros de OM Hungría que estarán ayudando en la organización del evento.

Job opportunities in Hungary

  • Bus4Life Ministry
    A mission outreach opportunity based in Hungary but covering many different Central/Eastern European Countries. Join a mobile outreach bus, help with selling and distributing literature, get involved in creative ministries such as drama, music, painting, etc. or in evangelism or working in a street café, work in a mobile movie theatre: Joining the Bus4life ministry gives you the opportunity to do all of this. In an adapted bus you will travel to different Central/Eastern European Countries, ministering to children and young people, families and older people, people from all walks of life. If you can occasionally skip a shower and sleep a night or 2 on the floor, you can have this hands-on experience of mission work.
  • Church Planter
    Hungary has many opportunities to be involved in church planting. All church planting within OM Hungary takes place under the leadership of a local Hungarian church and working along side a Hungarian church planter.
  • English Teachers
    English teachers are needed in Hungary!
    There are excellent opportunities to teach English, develope friendships and share the Gospel with many who still havent heard. Join existing opportunities or start your own and come alongside long term missionaries in sharing your faith in this practical way.
  • Evangelism/church-planting - HU
    Use evangelism of all kinds and discipleship skills to help an Hungarian Church Planter in his ministry.
  • Financial Developement Officer
    Serve OM Hungary's ministries through fund raising and by maintaining and developing relationships with partners and potential partners. You will work closely with the communications co-ordinator to produce follow up reports, thank you letters and creative feedback to maintain accountability.
    There will be opportunities for you to get involved with the evangelism and church planting ministry.
