A touch of loveNicky HayesYou can see the loneliness in someone’s eyes. That was what the Korean girls noticed straightaway as the Albanian women entered the cafe. Here in the small village of Morave, as in so many others, the women struggle on while their husbands and children work abroad. EunHa (OM Lushnje) knew that this little group from her home church had the servant-hearts this situation needed. The cafe was the venue for a series of outreaches, organised by one of the small churches which OM supports. Over the next four afternoons, the Korean visitors ministered to these lonely women. Weary shoulders received invigorating Korean massage, and much fun was had in making necklaces and cards, and watching traditional Korean fan-dance and drama. The heart of each session however was a short Bible lesson and testimony, and on the final afternoon, over forty Albanian women listened as the Koreans explained how they too could know Jesus as their saviour. Praise God for the 8 women who gave their lives to Jesus that week! Esther and Gjergji , church leaders in Morave, were so encouraged by their Korean visitors: “With tears in all our eyes, and grateful hearts for the long journey they’d made to be with us, we said goodbye – asking them to come again. We pray that the seeds planted this week will grow, and that the resulting fruit will mature for His glory alone!”
