Can an artist be a missionary?

AshlynEnglish/Espanol

After participating in two OM Artslink outreaches, Ashlyn’s eyes were opened to the possibilities of what she could do on the mission field. Ashlyn, an American, took the challenge of integrating her gifts as an artist with her faith, cross-culturally. The fields also experienced what an artist can contribute to a team. "After North Africa, I had this new desire to return overseas and use art again as a way to spread Christ's love. I returned in the summer of '07 to Western Asia. God confirmed His call to live overseas,” said Ashlyn.

After graduating from university with a degree in graphic design and dance, Ashlyn applied for long-term service with OM Artslink. She participated in the GO Conference in August 2008 and is now living in Western Asia. She is the first OM Artslink artist to go into full-time ministry. She will use her gifts in dance, graphic design and painting for God.

Please pray for Ashlyn as she acclimates to her new surroundings and ministry. Pray for the growth and development of the OM Artslink ministry. Teams have served in Europe, the Balkans, and North Africa with art courses, workshops, camps, exhibitions, murals, cultural exchanges and community outreach.
