There is still much work to be done

OM International

The summer is over, but the outreach continues. During OM Turning Point’s recent summer outreaches, participants from 12 different countries were able to share the Gospel with an abundance of people; many from North Africa, Middle East, and Asia. In the midst of sun and rain, the team members distributed more than 34,000 portions of Gospel literature, Jesus films, New Testaments and Gospel DVDs. The team members also had the blessing of praying with 12 people who wanted to commit their lives to following Jesus and the opportunity to engage with 113 people who expressed interest in continuing communications and follow-up meetings.

Gabrielle from the United States shared, “I loved park ministry. One day my evangelism team went to a local park and after walking around for about an hour without finding anybody to talk to, we were feeling pretty discouraged. We sat down for a break and to pray. We then got up and started walking again and after about 15 minutes we found a woman from the Middle East who was open to talk to us for about two hours. It was a great conversation with mutual interest, and she asked for our contact information before we asked for hers. It resulted in her accepting a New Testament in Arabic and telling us she was interested in other religions.”

Pray for the many people in our city who have heard and read the Good News through these summer outreaches. Pray for the follow-up of those who made professions of faith and for those that expressed interest in meeting again.
