Books on the Move

OM International

In November, a Mobile Bookbus visited five cities in Romania bringing Christian books to people who would not normally come to a Christian bookshop or to church.  "We were thrilled to see people coming onto the bus, some buying books, some just wanting to look at what was available, some wanting to pray for the ministry and others wanting to talk," one helper wrote.  "Our prayer is that people's lives would be touched by these books and they would find their maker, and that local churches would have more of an understanding of OM and it's work.

"It was thrilling to see so many people give to the donations box, when they found out that it was to help the situation in Pakistan and other missions activities. From a country that has little we felt like the giving was big and it warmed our hearts.

"It was also great to see people come onto the bus looking for books and leaving with smiles on their faces. A couple of our volunteers sat with a street kid who had begged for money to buy a book.  Over the days the bus was in her town, they began to teach her to read. She was so pleased to have someone taking an interest in her and also to have such a nice book with fun puzzles and activities to do."
