Enabled through prayer

OM International

Team members on a recent short-term outreach trip were enabled through prayer to cope with the adventures of sharing God’s love in Azerbaijan!

One night the team was staying with a local family. The grandmother of the family suffered from asthma. She was coughing so much she couldn’t get to sleep. Two women on the team prayed with her and the coughing stopped! In the morning the whole family knew there had been an answer to prayer. They were interested in listening as team members shared the Good News of Jesus.

Towards the end of the trip the team was stopped by police. Their literature was confiscated and they were taken to the police station for questioning. Eventually they were released.

On their return the team told how the ten day prayer focus they had held before the trip strengthened them through it. “We saw the healing of Jesus by prayer and we were able to overcome our fear at the police station by prayer!”
