Healing through Serving

OM International

A short-term OM team en route to Georgia got an extra travelling companion when an Azeri Christian woman called Zema joined them. She suffered from terrible back pain and needed to go to Georgia to receive medical attention. Although at times Zema could hardly walk, she joined in the team's activities. During street events she played the guitar, sang and shared how she had come to know Jesus. At one point she even preached in Russian for the first time and eight people made a commitment to follow Jesus!

Over five days more than 200 people heard the gospel and altogether 14 became Christians. Zema got better and better and by the end of the outreach she felt totally well. Now she has a real passion to continue sharing the good news beyond the borders of her own country.
