Alpha Argentina

OM International

A hotel lobby is the venue for an Alpha course run by OM Argentina team members in Córdoba (the country's second largest city). After attending the first Latin-American Alpha conference in Peru in April, the OM Argentina launched the course - meeting regularly with six people to look at questions such as "Who is Jesus?" and "Why did He die?"

ALPHA international has been generous to the new group, providing free 'starting packs' containing DVD's, books and leaflets.  And the regional coordinator for the Americas has provided constant encouragement through e-mails and phone calls.   In the coming year, OM Argentina hopes to encourage several local churches to start Alpha courses.  Please pray for the team in Argentina as they develop this new strategy to share the Gospel in this nation.

A volcano erupted in Chaiten, Chile on Friday, May 2, just 62 miles (100 km) from OM missionaries Carlos and Liliana living in Esquel, Patagonia in Argentina. Please pray for safety and provision from God as they discover how to deal with, and minister during, this disaster.
