Holy Week HarvestOM InternationalOver 300 volunteers from across Latin America and the USA gathered in Costa Rica for a special outreach during Holy Week. After two days of training and preparation, teams headed out to serve local communities in partnership with local churches. One team of 50 people, including medics and dentists, provided free medical care to more than 1,200 people. At the same time, team members were able to share the Gospel message with many of those who attended the clinics. A sportslink team, led by Martin Bateman and Consuelo Rabanales ran soccer training camps and friendly matches while making the most of many opportunities to share the love of God with those they met. The remaining volunteers spread out across a 75-mile radius in the Atlantic Zone of Costa Rica, working alongside local churches in a range of outreach projects. According to reports, 4000 individuals had the opportunity to hear and read about Jesus Christ, and more than 500 opened their hearts to him. As pastors returned with their teams, many were in tears sharing their experiences. Something special had taken place. On the final night of the outreach, participants celebrated with a programme of international dances, songs and events of historical importance. Duane Grasman from México gave a challenge to world missions and over 200 young people came forward for prayer. Please pray for the OM Costa Rica team as they are following up with visits to all the churches involved in the outreach.
