Luis Palau comes to Hungary

OM International

Lake Balaton in the South-west of Hungary is usually the destination for the holiday makers but for five days from August 22nd - 26th.  hundreds, possibly over a thousand, Christians will be making their way to this popular spot. Luis Palau is the guest speaker at 'Balaton-NET', organised in partnership between the Hungarian Evangelical Alliance and the Keswick Convention. It is a five day conference and Mission Expo designed for the whole family.  Check out www.balaton-NET for info.

A number of the OM Hungary staff members who also help with the Hungarian Evangelical Alliance have key roles in this event and most of the OM Hungary team will also be there as part of the mission expo. During this time we also hope to introduce the new OM Central Europe 'Bus4Life' to the many Hungarian pastors who will be there.

Please pray for good weather (most people will be camping), for Hungarian believers to be encouraged and motivated to a deeper walk with God and for many to be challenged into missions.

Job opportunities in Hungary

  • Bus4Life Ministry
    A mission outreach opportunity based in Hungary but covering many different Central/Eastern European Countries. Join a mobile outreach bus, help with selling and distributing literature, get involved in creative ministries such as drama, music, painting, etc. or in evangelism or working in a street café, work in a mobile movie theatre: Joining the Bus4life ministry gives you the opportunity to do all of this. In an adapted bus you will travel to different Central/Eastern European Countries, ministering to children and young people, families and older people, people from all walks of life. If you can occasionally skip a shower and sleep a night or 2 on the floor, you can have this hands-on experience of mission work.

    Hungary has many opportunities to be involved in church planting. All church planting within OM Hungary takes place under the leadership of a local Hungarian church and working along side a Hungarian church planter.

    English teachers are needed in Hungary!
    There are excellent opportunities to teach English, develope friendships and share the Gospel with many who still havent heard. Join existing opportunities or start your own and come alongside long term missionaries in sharing your faith in this practical way.
  • Evangelism/church-planting - HU
    Use evangelism of all kinds and discipleship skills to help an Hungarian Church Planter in his ministry.
  • Financial Developement Officer
    Serve OM Hungary's ministries through fund raising and by maintaining and developing relationships with partners and potential partners. You will work closely with the communications co-ordinator to produce follow up reports, thank you letters and creative feedback to maintain accountability.
    There will be opportunities for you to get involved with the evangelism and church planting ministry.
