If you think that the only interesting things in Greece are island beaches, ancient ruins, the footsteps of Paul and millions of tourists then you have missed the most exciting parts of the country. The Greece of today is much more than the pictures on a tourist brochure or the pages of a history book – living in this amazing country, learning this rich language and living alongside these mediterranean people can be a life changing experience!

Greece, as the first European country to receive the Gospel, has a very rich Christian history. However daily life can show a different picture. To be Greek is to be Greek Orthodox Christian, however, only about 2% regularly attend church. The Protestant community in Greece is small, consisting of only 0.2% of the population.

So why should we be involved in Greece?

Together with local protestant churches, OM Greece is involved in different ministries, such as:

  • youth work, worship, bible studies
  • special events and projects
  • sports ministry
  • partnering with other organizations to minister to people on the edge of society
  • raising missions awareness and facilitating locals who are being sent out worldwide
  • distributing literature and training leaders within the Albanian community
  • encouraging churches to reach out to Albanians

We are looking forward to hearing from you. For more information look at our website www.gr.om.org
