LOGOS HOPE

One exciting mission opportunity is joining our OM ship, Logos Hope. Throughout the years, quite a few Albanians have been on different OM ships and were challenged and changed through their experiences. Join the ship ministry for two years and see how God changes you and uses you to impact the nations for His glory!

What is the Logos Hope ministry?

OM's ship Logos Hope visits port cities throughout the world, supplying vital literature resources, encouraging cross-cultural understanding, training young people for more effective life and service, providing needed relief and sharing a message of hope in God wherever there is opportunity. Since 1970, OM's ships have visited over 450 different ports in more than 150 nations around the globe. On average, over one million visitors are welcomed on board every year!

Floating book fairs

In total, over 46 million visitors have come aboard one of the four ships to purchase from the selection of over 5,000 Christian and educational titles available. Books are on offer at a fraction of their retail value and visitors to Logos Hope are given the

opportunity to take a piece of free literature which explains more about the need for a right relationship with God.

Compassionate, practical help

Aid and relief work, as an expression of God's love and concern for people in needy countries visited by the ship, may take many forms – medical aid, construction projects, or donations of water filters and literature, as well as spontaneous gifts of food and clothing. In the past, ship personnel have donated textbooks and reference volumes to schools, libraries, colleges, and universities, distributed medical or food supplies, renovated clinics, and orphanages, and assisted in the construction of schools and church buildings.

Sharing a message of hope

Logos Hope's approximate 400 crewmembers represent over 60 nations, and they live and work together on board as a practical outworking of their belief in God. Each individual has a personal, living faith, stemming from a restored relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, which gives hope, meaning and focus to his or her life. We desire to share this message of hope in a restored relationship with God in the ports visited. This is done with greatest respect for and sensitivity towards the culture of the community hosting the ship.
