Be a part of Christian missions’ history by volunteering alongside our missionaries as we navigate life through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Can you come to Belgium to serve with us for periods of between 2 to 11 months? Pivot participants will live with our international Christian community at the ZavCentre. The main focus will be to grow in your walk with the Lord while helping out practically.

We currently need help with:

• Digital communication
• Building improvements and repairs
• Online events
• Office administration

Participants will follow a guided self-study Bible program and will be assigned a personal mentor. The program will also include skill development time for them to learn or sharpen a skill. We would ask participants to focus on a skill that will support their service to the Lord in the future as well as one that can be self-taught. They can find resources to learn either online or with workbooks, or it could be in the form of on-the-job learning.

Some examples of such skills are the acquisition of a new language, learning a musical instrument, or developing certain media skills.

Pivot is a program designed for individuals who are self-motivated.

A mentor will guide the participant during their time with OM in Belgium, but we expect them to be disciplined to follow their own study program and goals.

Participants will join the ZavCentre community which is currently home to 5 long-term OMers and will be welcomed to participate in community events. Due to current restrictions, there are no organized outings, but we look forward to the time when Belgian regulations will allow them to resume. If you are ready to serve the Lord with an open mind and to work independently, Pivot could be the right program for you.

At this time, only participants who have an EU passport can stay for longer than 3 months.
