Many of Malawi’s children are orphans. Some are placed with extended family, but often this only adds extra burden to already crowded families who cannot afford school. Devastatingly, some become victims of child exploitation. The children who do make it to school in Malawi often receive poor quality education, especially in more remote areas.

OM currently has two schools in Malwai: the Chiyembekezo School and the Chisopi School. Both schools have a feeding program where children receive two meals per day.

The Chiyembekezo School for orphaned and vulnerable children is in its second year and currently educates about 30 children per year.

The Chisopi School is located in a Muslim village where a church has been planted. The ~20 attendees are all from Muslim backgrounds.
