Partnership Overview

As an accountant on the mission field with OM, you will use your financial management skills toward the purpose of seeing vibrant communities of Jesus followers established among the least reached. This important role is vital to ministry on the field. As an accountant in OM, you would provide accountability for the cash transactions conducted on the field and perform duties to assist with accounting functions pertaining to bank accounts, budgets, journal entries, financial reporting and administrative changes, guided by precedent and guidelines of established polices. Participation in local ministry and team life may also be aspects of your role.

Required Skills

We are looking for committed team members who love God, are growing in their relationship with Him and are passionate about serving Him with their gifts and skills and, if necessary, are also willing to serve in other ways as given opportunity.

Ideal qualities:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel - Experience with OM software is an asset but training is available
Proficient in English with a willingness to learn Spanish - Willingness to be involved with one or more of our ministries (mobilization, at risk children, training)
Well-organized and detail oriented - Excellent administrative skills
Work well with others in a cross-cultural team environment - Able to communicate finance concepts and results to non-finance people
- Discipline to work independently - Flexible, adaptable, and teachable
