Out of the Comfort Zone – East Asia

Of Asia’s 4.3 billion people, 95 per cent make no claim to following Jesus Christ. The region holds the world's largest concentration of unreached people who desperately need to hear of God’s love.

Out of the Comfort Zone (OCZ) is a short-term mission exposure programme that removes you from the ordinary and challenges you to reach out to a world of people in East Asia who are living and dying without knowledge of the abundant life promised by Jesus Christ.

Gather first for a conference with people from all over the world for five days of studying God’s Word, training in evangelism and focusing on missions. If you want to know more about serving cross-culturally in Asia, and sharing your faith creatively, then this conference is for you.

Following the conference, you and your international team will be sent to countries in East Asia for ministry. Gain first-hand experience sharing God’s love as you journey amongst the urban poor, tribal communities, the sick and destitute, refugees, children, those living with HIV and AIDS, and so many more who need to hear about God. If God calls you out of your comfort zone, why would you ever return to it?

PRAY

Pray for the participants who experienced OCZ this year—that God will enlarge their vision and passion for mission, and that they will mobilise others. Pray that those they came in contact with will be linked up with local believers and thus added to the Church. Pray that churches that worked with the outreach teams will carry on the vision for reaching their neighbours.

GIVE

Impacting Asia will need committed financial partners, who are willing to invest in vital year-round preparations across the region. You might also want to subsidise and enable workers from the region to participate. All gifts will make a difference. Contact your national OM office for details.

GO

Isn’t it time to get out of your own comfort zone? God has so much in store for those who step out in faith in Him. Why not join us for the next OCZ? Contact your national OM office for details.
