Ministry details

We will focus on 3 areas:
1. Knowing God and Yourself
- OM Thailand staff will conduct lectures about seeking one’s place in God’s mission.

2. Tasting Missionary life
- The major ministry will be teaching English in school (high school students)
- All participants are required to learn basic Thai, which a local Thai staff from the education centre will conduct
- All participants will take part in practical work, including gardening, cooking, building and repairing, or growing rice if it is the right season!

3. Outreach
- Mission-oriented visits to nearby villages and churches in least-reached areas

  • Cultural visit to Golden Triangle, boarders of Myanmar and Laos
Participant profile

We are looking for people who are able to speak English (since teaching English is the major ministry) and physically capable of doing practical work and going out for outreach in rural area.

Provided inside the education center while in Chiangrai. Please check "Things to know for Sawasdee Chiangrai" for detail

Mostly provided inside the education center, where rice is the main food in Thailand. However, during the time for outreach, OM Thailand will cover the cost.

1. Participants are responsible to arrange and pay for the flight to/from Thailand
2. OM Thailand staff will pick you up at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport ONLY
3. At the end of the program, the whole team members will travel to Chiangmai and fly back to their home countries from Chiangmai airport on 30th. Participants who are planning to stay behind or going back Bangkok have to cover their own cost.

Participants should be in reasonably good health. Any special needs, e.g. food allergies, must be communicated as early as possible so that organisers can prepare to receive that person. Each participant should arrange personal medical insurance to cover the period of the outreach.

Most countries are given 30-day tourist visa on arrival. Please check in advance with your local embassy.

Please contact your local OM office for detail and application.
