OM Arts HSI Children’s Music Songwriting Workshop

Heart Sounds International (HSI) is a ministry of OM Arts that focuses on encouraging indigenous worship around the world. The goal is to write original worship songs in Albanian that can be used with children.

As an HSI team, participants will partner with those in country to facilitate a songwriting workshop, aimed at developing children’s songs for worship and children’s meetings.

Ministry details

“Ethnodoxologists  study how peoples around the world worship God and encourage them to create in response to God’s work in their lives” (Robin Harris,  ethnodoxologist). As a team, participants will lead attendees in a songwriting workshop using key principles of  ethnodoxology  as a guide. The focus will be children’s music. Subsequently, the team will record these songs to make ready for distribution. 

Participant profile

All applicants must be flexible and able to adapt. In addition, we are looking for those qualified for several specific roles. Those without proper experience may apply as an assistant in these roles:
Ethnodoxologist: Applicant should have experience leading indigenous songwriting workshops and be able to mentor others.
Theology of Worship Instructor: Applicant should have higher level academic training in worship and/or theology and experience instructing in a cross-cultural setting.
Children’s Music Composer: Applicant should have experience composing for children and a sensitivity to cross-cultural artistic expressions.


Local guest house in Peja


Participants will eat in host homes and local restaurants. Please advise of dietary needs and restrictions.


Participants will need to fly into Pristina, Kosovo. The hosts will meet them at the airport and take care of all in-country transportation.


Overall good health is required. Please advise of health limitations.


Americans and Europeans do not need a visa. Other nationalities should check with their local embassy for visa requirements.
