Serving in anti-human trafficking through Missions

The participant will receive training regarding human trafficking and explore what working within after-care in a residential care unit for women and children looks like in the Finnish context.

Participant will contribute to the daily life of the house by being a full team member of the team. The participant will also be part of the OM team in Finland and involved in some church visits, events etc. Participant will be familiarized with the local church.

The participant will receive mentorship throughout the stay and have the possibility to explore future steps connected to anti-trafficking and missions.

This STM opportunity is part of JusticeLink, a ministry of OM Europe. JusticeLink aims to equip and mobilize individuals interested in serving within anti-trafficking.

Refugee Relief in Adaševci, Serbia

Located on a highway near the border of Croatia, OM is providing help for the refugees in the One Stop Center "Adaševci" with their ‘Tea Tent’ and the camp laundry. You will be involved in providing drinks in the OM tea tent, keeping the tent area clean, working in the camp laundry, socialising with refugees, and sharing Christ’s love with them while respecting the rules of the camp.

Community Development Volunteer

OM Thailand started the ministry in southern Thailand, in 2020. The people we are reaching out are least reached and mostly underprivileged and needy. We are helping the people in need, including but not limited to kids and physical disabled elders. We carry out our services through the partnership with a government school and a local church.

OM Ships Florence STEP

During this 2-3 month program participants will:

• Serve in our Ministry Center sorting & packing books. Other service opportunities are available on an individual basis depending on the person’s expertise.
• Participate in the OM Ships Florence team life and interact with our international OM missionary staff
• Experience the American culture and have the opportunity to visit one or two nearby cities (Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Charlotte)
• The missions and mobilization awareness weekly class provide provides fundamental knowledge that will help the participant to better understand missions and to engage better with different cultures.
• Improve their English (if appropriate)
• Visit local churches and/or participate in a local church

Customised - Moldovan Village Outreach

You will be working with local churches, organizing a day camp for children, visiting elderly people in their homes, and possibly helping practically where needed.

Adopt a Church Outreach

Church groups or ministry teams are invited to partner with one of our Local Ministry Teams to adopt a new church plant in a least reach village of Moldova. This is a village that has had little access to the gospel and discipleship and considered to be the most unreached area of the country.

Bus4Life Driver

Bus4Life serves as a ministry platform to reach the least reached communities in Eastern Europe. It’s a mobile ministry centre, outdoor cinema, health check-up clinic, bookshop, community centre, and meeting space. As the driver, your responsibility is to operate the vehicle and to drive it to outreach locations in Central and Eastern Europe.

Ministry of Restauration - Slum Outreach

Ministry of Restoration: It is a Christian project that works with vulnerable children and adolescents in downtown São Paulo. They currently work in 5 different communities (Favela), where children, teenagers and their families suffer from social vulnerability.
The problems detected are: drug use and trafficking, violence, high crime rate, unemployment and underemployment, family breakdown, high incidence of teenage pregnancy, children's learning difficulties and illiteracy.

The Restoration Ministry offers hope in this sad reality.
In these communities, we reach 700 children and teenagers every week.

OM in Poland is providing psychosocial support and psychological first aid after trauma experience, supporting mums and children fleeing Ukraine. Running kids clubs, youth ministry and women’s meetings we are offering comfort, bringing joy and hope and living out Christ’s love to those who need it the most.

Summit Videographer

When you join Summit as a videographer, a significant part of your time is spend on creating video productions, both in the city and in the mountains. Your passion and gift for videography will contribute for God’s glory and His kingdom. Sharing God’s stories and His amazing work through video productions makes a huge impact for Mobilizing God’s people to reach out the least reached people. A few months out of your whole life can bring an essential help for the OM team in this country and gives you cross-cultural missions experience.

Reaching Galicia/Spain

Based in the city of A Coruña on the North West coast of Spain, you will be helping at English conversation clubs or classes and any workshops we might have during your time here. You will be attending a local Baptist church in Spanish. You will be involved with the church youth group and any other events the church might have during your time here.

Agape Sports Ministry

Agape Ministry is based at São José dos Campos - São Paulo State.
It's a social project that have been working through sports to connect with children and teenagers living in high risk situations in a poor area of the city.

Summit Computer Teacher

When you join Summit as a computer teacher, a significant part of your time is spend at the office in the city. Your ability of the office utilization is a huge blessing toward local Christians who are sincerely serving with the team. Come for a few months and teach useful skills in Word/Excel to be more equipped servants for the Kingdom of God. You will experience cross-cultural missions and see your spiritual growth while you are serving with God’s people.

São Paulo (Restauration) - Slum Outreach

This ministry give us the opportunity to work with people in need, young people and teens living in risk, using soccer and friendship evangelism with people that are living in the street around the city.

CMO - Customised Ministry Opportunities (London)

This option is customisable; including the dates and ministry! It is a flexible option designed for people who want to get a taste of mission in a more individualised way.

Photographer

This opportunity involves travelling to different areas of Albania to photograph the different ministries run by OM Albania as well as the beautiful country itself.

Internships in Ireland

OM is mobilising young Jesus followers to join our international team and serve and experience ministry in Ireland. We are open to have interns come from 2 weeks to 6 months, or even up to a year! Dates are flexible, although there might be more opportunities to help in other ministries during the spring/summer.

Summit Journalist

When you join Summit as a journalist, a significant part of your time is spend on interviewing people and writing articles, both in the city and in the mountains. Your passion and gift for people and journalism will contribute for God’s glory and His kingdom. Through your work people will know how great our God is. Team needs a person like you who has a heart for god and a gift for His church as a journalist. For a few months you are serving and building up field experience. Your writing may touch people’s heart and bring attentions to the world missions with physical and spiritual support.

Summit Photographer

When you join Summit as a photographer, a significant part of your time is spend on photo productions, both in the city and in the mountains. Bring your heart and talent for photography to the mission field and use them for the glory of God. Photograph the moments of His-story and leave the evidence how faithful our God is. Your few months can be powerful to inspire others and even yourself to join the great work of God while you are building your portfolio and getting cross-cultural missions experience.

Summit IT helper

When you join Summit as an IT helper, a significant part of your time is spend at the office in the city. Your IT skills to manage Windows computers, updates and other Microsoft software are needed in the team in this Himalayan country. Contribute your God-given gift for His ministry and be part of His team even for a few months. You will learn about what God is doing for His Kingdom and expand your experience of cross-cultural missions while you are serving in an international team.

Language Placement Abroad (UK participants only)

Are you a student studying languages at university?

Are you expected to do a placement abroad to improve your language while being fully immersed in the culture?

Would you like to do this whilst having an opportunity to share your faith?

This could be a brilliant opportunity for you!

Join OM for a 3-month placement in one or more countries. In the Schengen Area you can only serve for 3 months, then either return to the UK or another country outside the Schengen Area. You could then return to a Schengen country for 3 more months.

In Šid camp we run games and activities for children and a beauty room for the ladies. In Adaševci we serve in our Tea Tent - a space for the refugees to come and chat, play games, relax and drink tea with our volunteers.

You will be involved in providing drinks in the OM tea tent, keeping the tent area clean, working in the camp laundry, socialising with refugees, and sharing Christ’s love with them while respecting the rules of the camp.

OM Ships Florence STEP (MAY)

During this 2-3 month program participants will:

Bringing Hope to Fatima - May 2023

With Portugal’s strong ties to Roman Catholicism, the anniversary of the reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary in Fatima is a huge event in the country. During the week there will be an estimated 500,000 devout Catholics arriving to offer prayers and worship to Mary. These people are lost and need to hear about the saving power of Jesus! Will you come and share the hope you have in Portugal?
